Rohan recently performed a detailing job on our Toyota Aurion. Rohan showed himself to be a really hard worker and and he takes pride in his work. He was prompt to our agreed appointment time and he took the time (more than a few hours) required to complete the job to a high degree of professionalism. Plus, the conditions were tough (it was raining!). If I had any criticism, its that a couple of spots at the margins of the windscreen and rear windows weren't completely smear/smudge free.. but that is really really hard to totally remove, and with rain it would probably be difficult to see. So I totally understand.
Rohan made the car really shine. It was a mess inside, and he has done a truly amazing job.
Thanks Rohan.

David did a brilliant job on our full roof restoration which was in poor condition. Rebedding, fixing flashings, replacing scotia, pressure spray cleaning, re-pointing, sealing and painting. He even painted our whirly birds and flues to match the new roof colour. David was always prompt, friendly, and happy to answer any questions. We trust his work completely and we have great piece of mind that our roof is in better condition that it has been in many years (no more leaks and rotting timbers). We are the envy of our local neighbourhood. We have a complicated rather huge roof, and the whole job was done in ~5 days.

Within 2 hours of my phone call, Andrew had our broken gas water heater working again! The thermocouple had died, and Andrew fixed the gas problem very quickly. Once again we're happy with the service. He comes day or night and gets you going again and doesn't charge the earth.

On our tiled roof we had 6 valleys replaced with colorbond, and stormseal used in place of concrete.
The tiles lining the valleys were originally concreted in place, and David told us that the concrete can scratch the valleys, and also water catches behind the concrete, and after some years this causes the rusting. He used the stormseal product because it is a water repelling, soft permeable barrier which takes place of the concrete. It won't scratch, and lets any water that gets behind flow through to the valley and to the gutter if it needs to.

The guys did a great job, they were prompt, they took away all the old valleys and concrete. We had 2 valleys that weren't replaced because they were fine, but since they had stormseal left over, Dave's people removed the concrete from those, replacing it with stormseal too! I guess it didn't take very long but, what generous people!!
Very happy with the work, and it was all done within a day.

We moved into an old house in Tecoma and it needed work on rusted guttering, downpipes, installing flashing, reseating gutters, and putting returns on the ends of all gutters so they wrapped around bargeboards (the existing design was poor, in my opinion -- tiles channeled water onto bargeboards, which were rotting because Tecoma is a very wet, damp place in winter and things never properly dry).

So Greg came out, had a look, and we worked together on a quote and job list.

In the end, Greg's team from Eastside Roofing spent two days and replaced all the guttering around one section of the house, cut off the rotting parts of existing bargeboards, replacing rotten material with properly sealed new wood, and after that they made the gutters bend around the bargeboards. Now that water runs into the gutters and no more rotting bargeboards.

We now have all our water and gutters under control and it was a job well done and we are very happy with the work. This should be a better winter. Thanks Greg and the guys from Eastside!

We had an external Gas point put in for a Natural Gas BBQ in the yard.
We'll have Andrew Moore back for all our plumbing jobs -- water or gas great price, good work, great advice, at a time that suited us.

Details:
Andrew gave several options of how to run the copper gas line as we have a 60 year old house and nothing is ever as easy as 123. We told him that money was tight, and he did some investigations on a gas line that ran underneath a slab on an extension which fed a gas hot water service. He found a suitable diameter pipe and helped us come to a solution that was cheap, relatively simple to install, and safe (carbon monoxide was high on his list of concerns, so he made sure it wouldn't be a problem which his pipework design). Before he started he checked our existing gas pipes for leaks using a rather simple looking instrument (a Manometer) at the gas meter - and the pipes were happily within allowable limits (no leaks effectively). Once he (a) installed the t-piece junction off the old thick pipework near the gas water service, (b) ran the copper line to the bbq point, (c) installed a ball valve to isolate the BBQ point, and (d) installed a bayonet (push+twist fitting) at the end (to hook up to the bbq) he then again checked the whole system for gas leaks back at the meter using his manometer. He found some leaks in the work, so he fixed them up. Finally, we plugged in the BBQ, and tested again for leaks -- thankfully the BBQ was fine. It was getting late (well after dark) so I lended a bit of a hand.
We are now using the BBQ like crazy, and we thank Andrew very much for his work, advice and great price. It was a fixed price quote, and he did a lot of stuff to ensure it was installed safely, and as a bonus, we also now know that our existing gas pipework isn't leaking!
