Hungry one evening in Chatswood, Boyfriend takes me to this restaurant. We can see the cooks making dumplings through the front window that leads out to the food court of the Lemon Grove Arcade off Victoria Mall in Chatswood. Restaurant looks a bit dingy, but Boyfriend assures me that the food is spectacular. We are quickly seated and are overwhelmed by the pictorial menu, everything looks delicious, but we cannot eat it all! We decide to share a Hot & Sour Soup and some chilled sticky Spare Ribs for Entree, and for main we get pan fried pork dumplings and steamed dim sims to share. The food was realy nice, but we couldn't eat it all. Including drinks our bill came to under $30 for the two of us. Staff were friendly and put our food into a takeaway container to enjoy later, which we did!

This review is for Spice Market, Kirribilli NSW

The boyfriend and I didn't feel like cooking one night, so we meandered down to Kirribilli in search of a feed. There are a number of Thai restaurants at Kirribilli, and we usually eat at Bangkok Sidewalk, but we were feeling adventurous and lazy, so we decided to try something new. We peroused the menu at Spice Market before deciding on an entree of 2 curry puffs ($4) and 2 chicken Satay sticks ($5) and a main of Pad Kee Mao Noodles with Chicken ($13) to share. The pastry of the curry puffs was light and crunchy, and the filling was devine (I'm not usually a fan of them!), the satay sauce for the chicken skewers was light and tasty and the chicken lovely and tender. The main was tasty and morish, and although Boyfriend and I were full, we could've eaten more.

On a freezing cold July evening, my father, boyfriend and I were staying in Launceston on a holiday from Sydney. We found this gem of a restaurant. As soon as we walked in we felt instantly warm, like we were part of summer. This was due to a combination of the latin pop songs, the warm decor, the heating and the friendly welcome from the staff. I ordered a Margarita and the Pollo, Dad ordered a Chilli Beer (Yum!) and the Avocado Mariscos, and the Boyfriend ordered the delicious Sangria and the Prickly Pairs. We had a taste of each others meals and they were all divine! I've been describing this experience to my friends as "the best food I've ever tasted in my life, I didn't want to let it escape my body." If you're ever in launceston I would highly recommend that you eat here.

Catching up with an old friend for dinner and a movie and we stumble across this little restaurant. It doesn't look very fancy and it isn't. It is great food at a low price. My friend and I both ordered from the noodle menu, and both of us were very impressed with the quality of the food. Both of our dishes were under $10. Not suitable for fine dining, but if you are ever in the city and looking for a cheap, tasty place to eat, this is your restaurant.

This review is for 1806 Cocktail Bar, Melbourne VIC

On a short trip to Melbourne, my partner and I walked into this cocktail bar, hidden by its inconspicuous looking entrance. It was a 5pm on a Monday evening, the place was empty (due to the time), the cocktail waiter greets us and seats us, takes our orders and comes back with a couple of the most delicious cocktails we've ever tasted. The waiter went on to recommend other cocktails that we might like and drew us a hidden cocktail bar map of Melbourne and explained their specialties and recommended a couple of nice restaurants. The cocktail menu here is like a story, it starts with the very earliest cocktails and takes you through the 1800's, then the 1900's tow contemporary cocktails, listing the ingredients as well as giving a description of how the particular blends came to be.

This review is for Azuma Kushiyaki, Sydney NSW

My Boyfriend and I ate here on our date night after reading about it in MX. I didn't really know what to expect, but I was really impressed with my entire dining experience. We both ordered the Kushiyaki course ($55 p.p.) which included delicious warm green soy beans, Seared Tuna Salad, Deep-fried Karaage Chicken, 6 grilled skewers selected by the Chef (I got melt-in-your-mouth beef, teriyaki chicken, a plain chicken, prawn, scallop, and zucchini), Dessert & Green tea, English tea or Coffee. We also indulged in some warmed sake and some divine cocktails. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful and I will definately eat there again.

This review is for Madang Korean Restaurant, Sydney NSW

I love eating here, I really enjoy the social aspect of eating the Korean BBQ. We order our selection of meats (careful, some are very hot!) and an entree and you are also given complimentary entrees and rice (if you get the pickled potato, its delish). Then, you just talk and cook as you feel like it. Great for small groups. However, you can get a bit smelly from the meat, so I wouldn't plan to dine here straight before hitting up the town. Also, don't go past the Soju, It's a great palate cleanser.

Approximate cost: $20

The menu is good, something for everyone. The first time I ate here, one of the people I was dining with has Ciliacs Disease, and the cook made a special meal to cater for her allergy. Food is tasty and very cheap, Staff are friendly and the soft drinks are delicious.

The food here is exquisite, really breaks away from the some of the 'run of the mill' Thai food. I have dined here many times, and the meals are all beautifully presented, and most importantly taste fantastic! The menu is creative and varied, there is something for everyone. Its licensed BYO, with a bottle shop convenientlt located across the street. Cosy atmosphere and friendly service, this is a wonderful place to eat.
