Don't trust medownick, richmond.

I found Medownick, Richmond, deceptive in the way they entice you into their business model.
When I phoned I mentioned a Channel 9 news clip highlighting a new laser technique by Dr Chan. I was told that I can see Dr Chan and that the first appointment is free.
A couple of days before the appointment, Medownick telephone me to tell me that, that at my first appointment, I will first need to do some more scans and other tests for my eyes, which have a cost associated with them. That I would next be seeing a clinician and having an assessment done. If I am then looking to go ahead and get some treatment done, it is only then that I get to see a surgeon. I’m not sure if I would ever get to see Dr Chan, the Dr Chan from the 9 news ‘promotion’ as I had been told when I first phoned. It appears that they didn’t like how my questions pre-empted how they wanted to get me caught in their web of costs. They hadn’t didn’t even bothered to ask if I had a pension card, which would have exempted me from some of the scan costs.
In the end, they decided to cancel my Monday afternoon appointment with a telephone call on a Sunday night, saying that one of their staff had Covid.
I can’t see how another staff member couldn’t fill in to do this ’standard consultation’ as it had now become. Just more lies and deceit. Don’ t trust Medownick, Richmond. They are just after your money. You may get the treatment done as well.
