Noodle King Thai Kitchen is on the same side of the street as Westpac. The shop has a glass window / glass door front. Do not close the door as you go in as some of the cooking exhaust goes out through there. Needless to say, if you eat there, your clothes are going to smell. I ordered Nasi Goreng Seafood. The portion was big and tasty. You can help yourself to the free Chinese Tea.

Situated at Level 4 of Westpoint, this small unassuming store front cannot rival other restaurants in the vicinity. But I gave it a go. The menu prices were not cheap & you had to queue up to order. I had Pineapple Fried Rice. It was delicious. You should try it. As I was leaving, a middle aged man called after me: Thank You. I turned around & saw him bowing to me in a Japanese fashion, only he was not Japanese.

The queue is getting longer. But I'm not surprised. Their takeaways are really cheap & delicious. I bought their Special Fried Rice. The round container looked small but the rice is very tightly packed in & the portion is good enough for one person. The prawns are of odd size & all placed right on top of the rice. I suspect they let the heat of the rice cook the prawns so they will never be overcooked. Give it a try!

The queue used to be long but not now. I'm not sure what happened but it could be due to their recent $1.00 increase across the menu prices. Hey, if that's true, it's pathetic. I for one will keep coming. I always order Seafood Stir Fried Rice Noodles. Nothing beats it. The noodles - more than enough. Fresh prawns, squid, fish, mushroom, carrot & greens - plenty, swimming in a brown savoury sauce.

This restaurant is surreal. Every experience so far has been nothing short of terrific. My favourite order is Tom Yum Goong - really yummy. The rice is separate @ $2.50. This dish used to have 4 fresh prawns, 1 big mushroom quartered and plenty of red onions. But recently, I got 5 big fresh prawns & 2 mushrooms halved. I'm not sure what happened. But if you don't get it, don't complain. It's sure not regular.

It was a very long walk but at the end of Market Street, I was attracted to a place that looked different from the other shops. It had a round entrance way that looked through an alfresco dining into a restaurant proper that had an upper attic with more dining spaces. I ordered Summer chicken risotto. It was tasty. I would have put 4 stars if it was of a bigger portion and not so pricey.

It had the most unassuming appearance in a row of 3 cottage-like shops on a very quiet street. The interior was cluttered with pictures hanging on the walls & display of porcelain wares amidst some solid wood tables & chairs. I went further in to another larger space where the kitchen & sales counter were. Beautiful cakes were on display. I took a chocolate brownie & a cappuccino, I absolutely loved them.

You can't miss it. The restaurant is standalone with parking area. I was greeted by everybody (from the simple nod of an old man in Punjabi attire sitting comfortably to a pretty young Indian lady smiling behind the counter to a well dressed mid aged man politely directing the way. The room was spacious with many mixed sized tables. I ordered Vegetable Curry (Hot, came with rice) & a plain naan. It was an enjoyable dinner.

It was a night I won't forget easily. I ordered Mudgee Wheat (a beer) to go with their Kumara Wedges (I think it was sweet potato, came with sweet chilli & sour cream). They were excellent accompaniment to the country music staged for the 3 hours that I was there. But what enthralled me most was the oversized beer brewery cylinders spick and span, all 10 of them. I had a great time and would certainly return.

I was walking along the street where My Thai was located. It was quiet and the staff just turned the sign to "Open". I took the 2nd table as further in, it looked dim. I ordered Cashew Nut Beef + rice separate. It tasted alright. I looked around and saw only two staff. By the time, I finished and left, there was just one other customer.
