I have been a customer here for around 7-8 years now and mostly I love this place.
I have on occassion experienced bad customer service, food, coffee but mostly the food, coffee is very good and beats most places around here.
I will remain a customer for a long time to come even though they do get it wrong sometimes.
I still really enjoy it here.

This place has been on my wish list for a while now and as I was in the area I decided to stop by to check it out and see what all the fuss is about.

As it was a hot day my dining companion ordered an iced coffee which was nice and I ordered an orange juice.

Since breakfast could be eaten until closing time we ordered breakfast.
The cafe was quiet no one else was ordering food except for us.
There were a few others having coffee though.

I had salmon, potato rosti, hollandaise, poached eggs. My meal was ok but nothing worth going back for in fact it was below my expectations.
The rosti was cold in fact and the eggs slightly over done.
My dining companions meal was ok but way too sweet She had the brioche french toast, blueberries, ricotta, maple syrup
For some unknown reason the brioche was covered in jam therefore making it way too sweet.
I did not see any home made pastries as described by food blogs that I have read previously just pre bought cakes were available.
To there defense it was quiet in there and it was a week day.
It was also uncomfortably hot in the cafe as the windows were open and the air conditioner was off.
It is also very difficult trying to find a park around here.
I might give it a go again sometime but not for a long while.

I've been here a couple of times now which is rare because there are so many places on my list I'm wanting to go to.
They have beautiful pastries, baguettes, pies, delicious desserts, bread, macarons and more.
There is seating inside which isn't the most comfortable and the space is tight and the portions are tiny but the quality is very good, food is delicious.
The first time I ordered a coffee here I did not enjoy it but te food is lovely.
Parking can be difficult around this area though.

I often feel myself craving charcoal chicken as nothin beats that flavour and I usually come here to get my fix as they are close to me and the food is pretty good, great even.

They use banockburn free range chickens here which is a good thing as I think they taste much better than Lilydale and aren't as readily available as Lilydale is.

I have tried most of the things you can buy here including souvlakis, whole chickens, salads, chips
and they are all better than the average in my opinion.
The only thing I would say is that some of the chickens are dried up too much maybe go for the lighter in colour ones.
Huge array of drinks available in the fridges, Using 2 huge fridges to store them.
Tubs of mini melts icecream also available for purchase.
The parking in this area can be difficult and they close at 8.00 pm which I find to be too early, As I don't like the roast chicken the supermarket has available.

I was expecting big things from this restaurant. The decor is just awful, outdated, not the quality I would expect from a 1 hat restaurant.
The bathrooms are very old, worse than a public toilet.
My friend and I could not believe that the cutlery that was provided were wooden disposable chopsticks.
I really was excited to try this place.
I also felt the service could do with improvement as I asked the waiter for ice a few times and said he would bring it and he never did until the third time I asked.

This restaurant has so much potential the food is very good not cheap but if they updated their decor and really fixed it up I could justify the price and would definitely go back but the way it looks and the atmosphere, quality of the furniture needs improving immediately.
It really did take away the enjoyment my friend and I could have experienced.

I have been a fan of their pink moscato for several years after trying and buying it at the Good food and wine show maybe 5 years ago.
I have heard great things about this restaurant & were not left disappointed.
I was quite shocked when we arrived because I expected the winery to be in a vineyard which it wasn't.
They do make their wine onsite and grow their grapes in Bendigo they explained to me when I asked them.

Inside the restaurant looks great, and has a unique style to it, and quite large in size.

We ordered some moscato cocktails which were divine & extremely easy to drink.
We also ordered tapas to share which were also very tasty. And desserts to finish.
The bake all their bread, pastries onsite and the food is quite delicious.
We sat opposite the open kitchen where we got to watch them preparing, cooking all the food.
They have a large wood fired oven where they make a huge amount of pizzas in daily.
The pizzas and the res of the food also looked divine.
i would come here again.
We also sampled some of their rose which we then bought a bottle to take home with us.
There is plenty of room to park and is located opposite white rabbit brewery and beechworth bakery.

We were staying in the area for a few days during the week so it was difficult to find somewhere open that we wanted to go to for dinner.
We were still full from lunch that day and had a 7.30 pm booking so we ended up getting there around 8.30 pm.

There are open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch, dinner.
We didn't try any of their wines but have heard good things.

The food was ok but nothing inventive, unique, exciting or worth going back for in a hurry for still not a bad meal.

The restaurant was set out like a pokie place in my opinion.

Bread rolls were offered with olive oil, I preffered mine plain though.
A complimentary amuse bouche was given once we ordered.

My mother ordered a crab tian and it was very cold like it just came out of the fridge,i had the beef carpaccio for my entree it was extremely small and not filling but the beef just melted in my mouth.

The mains were very average my mother ordered a mushroom risotto which she couldn't finish but said she enjoyed.
I ordered the beef eye fillet which was very average but edible.
then we ordered the dessert platter to share which was nice the semi freddo being the stand out.
Overall service was good food was ok. Plenty of parking available.

I called up to make a booking as I had accomodation booked nearby and We were interested in dining here.
My mother had previously dined here and had very positive things to say which I can see why.
When I called up to make a booking the were very polite, helpful, accomodating they asked if we had any dietry reqirements or things we don't eat and since my dining companion has a long list of things she does not eat I was extremely appreciative of this.
The decor was nice and the views were nice.
The food was lovely,delicious
They offer you bread, homemade cheese spread (at no cost) both the bread, cheese spread were absolutely delicious, to die for in fact The bread was light fluffy, crusty round the edges, just gorgeous.
My dining companion wanted the scallops but they contained an ingredient she doesn't eat they were more than happy to accomodate her and change the accompaniments to the dish which was a beautiful, delicious saffron risotto. I shared half with her and thought it was a beautiful, delicious dish
I ordered a bellini to drink which was absolutely heavenly.
We couldn't finish the mains but opted to take them home with some bread.
We ordered a panacotta for dessert which was nice, they could be a bit more inventive with their desserts however.
After lunch we went to their cellar door, cheese room to try their wines, cheeses. The service was very good in the cellar door. They even helped us carry our goods to the car.
The wines,cheeses were very nice
We bought wine, cheese to take home, for presents as well.
Overall I can see why this restaurant, cellar door has such a great reputation. Being in the age good food guide is a good indication if the restaurant is one worth visiting.
I was highly impressed. I would defiitely return

I had made reservations to stay in Dixons creek for a few days as a birthday gift to my mother so I researched the area of Yarra Valley well before I left and made bookings at the restaurants We were interested in going to & that were open and available for those days.

I came across kellybrook winery in my searches and was especially looking forward to dining here on the Friday of our trip for lunch and visiting the cellar door to try their cider, wines
It's about 20 minutes drive from where we were staying.
We arrived early for our booking so we went to the cellar door to try their cider, wines
which we were impressed with and bought some to take home with us.

After visiting the cellar door and purchasing our cider, wines
the restaurant opened.
The decor was nice, and it was nice and cool inside (hot outside).
The menu here really excited me and I was pretty sure it was going to be a great experience.
Neither of us ordered any alcohol.

The food we did have was tasty (quite oversalted) & dissapointing. It was old style non inventive & not as good as I thought it would be.

The desserts were a real disappointment and were extremely over priced and the flavours, textures were not quite right or very appetising.
Overall I probably wouldn't come back for the food only to purchase alcohol at the cellar door.
I also did not like the fact that if you wanted bread you had to pay for it (not a good sign when dining in a restaurant for me)

I went here on Saturday to have breakfast which they serve until 4.00 pm lovely decor, great menu & the food is delicious.
It's close to home i could easily see this becoming a favourite place to go for a great meal weather it be brekkie or lunch I think they also do dinners on Thursdays,Fridays,Saturday evenings and also have live music.
Will be back for sure can't wait to try their lunch menu.
Love the sinks in the bathrooms, the beautiful soap they have in the bathrooms.
This is my kind of cafe/restaurant.
