I have wanted to come here after various blogs I follow raved about the place I then found this great deal through dimmi for 50% off and I knew I had to go.
Luckily my friend was interested in joining me So off we went on a quiet Tuesday evening.
The restaurant can hold over 140 people seated.
This is a relatively new buisiness around 9 months old hence why they are not in the 2013 good Food Guide.
I can almost guarantee they will be in the 2014 guide.

Greeted nicely upon arrival I said I was waiting for a friend but I had a booking.
They showed me to my table which they then
presented me with a wine list that covered many pages which was in a leather bound folder.
Finally my friend walks in and finds where I'm sitting.
We were presented with menus each & found out that the bar food unfortunately was not part of the 50% off deal which was dissappointing as we were quite interested in ordering some dishes from there. Oh well there were some other great dishes we could order.
We both ordered a red wine the waiter recommended mine which we liked, mine especially though.

One of the reasons why I really liked this restaurant was
the fact that they don't use chilli, ginger, corriandar, lemon grass, thai basil all of which I heavily do my best to avoid.
It seems nowadays it can be quite difficult to order a dish without these flavours.(I'm talking about in a european restaurant not a chinese restaurant where you would expect these flavours to be in some dishes.

We ordered and shared
Some beautiful foie gras cigars which were on the bar menu but nonetheless we had to have them as they were recommended to me by someone and they just sound too good to pass up.
We also ordered the kingfish ceviche which was nice but i think it could have had more seasoning.
Quail and mushroom terrine was one of my two favourite dishes, absolutely divine dish.

wagyu bresaola, baffalo mozzarella, roasted figs, grissini was also a nice dish but I think the mozzerella could have had more flavour.
smoked steak tatare was pretty cool, tasty served in a jar that we had to open ourselves.
scallops & black pudding stuffed pigs trotters were oh so divine (my other favourite along with the terrine)

My friend also ordered the swiss cheese and macoroni croquettes, a special of beef cheeks.
I couldn't fit any more in so didn't try the beef cheeks.
But I did try 1 of the 5 croquettes and they were yummy.
I had to have dessert and wanted my friend to have one too so we could share but he was full so I ordered the salted caramel & banana sundae which I liked he tasted and didn't.

Overall I would recommend this restauraunt to any one who likes delicious european food, good wine, great service, decor
I will be back. There are many things I didn't get to try that I would have loved to.
(the whole menu pretty much)

This has got to be the most rewarding rewards site. I just love it. I really enjoy writting and reviewing buisinesses on here as the rewards are so great and the reviews can be very helpful.
When you earn enough points the points can then be redeemed for vouchers to westfield, itunes or wish gift cards.

Went here last night as I was in the area and have heard the pizza's are great here.
Well they're right you can opt to eat in (which we did) or order takeaway to be picked up or delivered to you (within a 3 km radius for $3)
There are around around 17+ pizzas on the menu and even one specially for the kiddies.
The pizzas are all made using very good quality, tasty ingredients.
You can also get half and half pizza of your choice of course for an extra $2.
The pizza base are so crispy and thin. It's probably some of the best pizza I've had minus the bits of bone I almost broke my tooth on, which they rectified and apologised and gave us a half price dessert pizza to make up for the mishap.
Overall myself and I were very pleased with this gem of a pizza shop in Hawthorn and will return again.

I Was extremely excited to come here and in particular try their sandwhiches. This time I didn't get to try their sandwhiches Because my friend wanted to share a platter of wings, ribs, sides they were paying so who am I to argue.

Fairly a small place they have few tables, some that are communal that you share with people you may,may not know yet.
I have no problem in sharing a table with strangers and since there were no "uncommunal" tables available that's the only option we had.
You order your food at the counter which is not my favourite thing but nonetheless you gotta do what you gotta do.
There are big menu boards telling what they have on offer you order then they tell you where you can sit.
The food was pretty good and we both enjoyed it.
The peanut butter pie was delish (not enough though) and the home made icecream was good but too small.
Overall it's a great place for some American bbq,a delicious but tiny piece of pie or a most likely mouthwatering sandwhich.
They are liscenced and have beer and wine available for purchase.
Warning be prepared to wait in line for a little bit it can be out the door at times.
I will be back to try a sandwhich or two and some of that delicious peanut butter pie

Great place. With a lovely atmosphere and amazing but quite pricey food. Probably for a special occasion and make sure you book ahead of time and dress up nicely.
There are different set menus or you can order ala carte the sashimi is top quality and of different fish you might not find at your regular japanese restaurant.
Portions are very small though.
Coffee and desserts are also worth ordering.
Service can be quite bad at times though.
They won't serve you in the bar after a certain time and can be quite rude about it.
Otherwise it's a wonderful place to dine with delicious food, great atmosphere.
I would love to come back to Nobu soon.

I have heard so much about this place and have had been here a few times now. The ice cream here is pretty good.
The pistachio is very good.
Great range of flavours. It's always busy here in summer on hot days.
They have interesting flavour names like Obamarama which is a peanut butter, jam flavoured ice cream.
They have ice cream cakes and other things like chicken stock they sell. And of course they have take home tubs of ice cream you can buy. Great place will be back in the summer.

One of many of Shannon Bennet's restaurants. This lovely french Bistro is a wonderful place for a semi formal occasion, celebration or just a great place for a nice dinner.
Bistro Vue is one of Shannon's more traditional restaurants.
My friend and I ventured out the city to dine here and it was a quiet evening there I was expecting it to be busier but maybe the weather had something to do with that.

I was expecting big things from this place and whilst my experience was good it was not as good as I expected.
The food was yummy but my lamb was below the temperature it should have been. My friend loved his truffle pasta, french onion soup.
The chocolate souffle was to die for very rich and very good and I haven't had a better one since. They gave us free madelines which were yummy.
Overall I would come here again for a lovely french meal.
Now that Vue De Monde has moved to the Rialto towers Bistro Vue is now using the space where it used to be.

This place is quite close to me and have never been here before but have been curious about this place.
I think they have changed hands quite alot in the last few years.
They specialise in peking duck which I love but I was just ordering take away.
The decor looked pretty decent and I'd love to try their peking duck some time
They seemed quite busy.
I ordered duck spring roll -yum home made dim sims- pretty good much better than the ones that everyone else is selling from the south melbourne markets.
However not as good as my favourite chinese restaurant tha make the best dumplings.
and we ordered lemon chicken which was also good but a bit oily. And strangely given to me in a cardboard box take away container and not a plastic one.
And a large special fried rice which was better than the average.
I would come back here some time.
Although it was quite busy in the parking lot there were still a few spots on the street.
This place does seem a little better than your average chinese restaurant.

Previously known as "Greasy Joe's" Not sure if the owners are the same but was curious why the name change etc. I never went to Greasy Joe's but used to pass there all the time ad I think the name did put us off.
I did a little search of the renamed place and liked the sound of their menu.
So I dropped in one night with my mum for some dinner.
Th burgers sounded amazing but we decided to order a "few things" and we would share.
This place has American style food but in much smaller sizes.
We ordered prawn sliders, yummy but needed more sauce and the buns needed toasting.
eggplant chips- ok but the eggplant was dried out.
Fried chicken nice but too spicy (I don't enjoy spicy food)
pumpkin crisps- yummy
Beer battered onion rings - yummy
and desserts
I had the chocolate cheescake ice cream sundae (delicious)
and a scoop of raspberry ice cream delicious
and my mother had the peanut butter cup also delicious.
Overall the food is pretty good.
I think the burgers would be Amazing.
The desserts are to die for. Everything is made in house except for the buns.
which to me is a great thing.

The sinks in the bathroom are really cool.

The soap is of top quality.I always am impressed by top quality liquid soap.
Great place.Looks like they have some great alcoholic beverages here too.
Prices are quite cheap and the quality is very good. The portions are quite small though.
Good service too
would come here again probably for a burger or for breakfast the waffles, sticky buns sound amazing.

I've been to some concerts here and have had alot of fun here.Great location.I get there early and meet up with friends to see if we can meet the artists before their show and we have done most of the time.Very intimate venue.
I have really loved the concerts I have been to here.
I find it strange that you can buy alcohol downstairs only upstairs. The range of snacks they have here is not that great they don't have hot food or anything that could consist of a meal, but there are plenty of nice restaurants, cafes, fast food places nearby.
The beach is quite close to here too.
