This review is for Spicy Yahmor Thai Restaurant, Port Macquarie NSW

Great Thai food full of flavours at reasonable prices! Whenever I go to Port for business trip, I always dine there. I also went with my colleague who likes fine dining, and she praised the quality of food as well. They have a full range of authentic Thai dishes. The fish cake was so fresh and yummy, one of the best I ever had. I love spicy food, but even I was sweating on the Jungle Curry stir fry. Last week I went there on Wednesday around 7pm and had do to wait for a table. They were so busy but didn't drop the quality of food and service.

This review is for Gosford RSL Club, West Gosford NSW

We are regulars at Gosford RSL. It has contemporary interior, nice coffee and good menu selection with very reasonable prices. The best part for us is the indoor kids playground. It's a large indoor play area fully fenced and connected to dining area, so you can enjoy your coffee or meal while still able to watch your kids having fun. Our mother's group used to go meet there once a week. Now I go with kids on Thursday evening if I don't feel like cooking. on Thursday dinner and Sunday lunch, you get 2 kids meals for free with a purchase of adult meal. You can choose from spaghetti, chicken nuggets or fish n chips. The kids meal also comes with a pop up juice and ice cream tub. Great value! My kids love it and often ask "can we go to the Club kids playground, mum?"

This review is for The Observatory, Port Macquarie NSW

09 Oct 2012

I went to Port Macquarie for business trip. The Observatory was recommended by friends. The room is not very big but has ocean view. It was nice to fall asleep with the sound of wave after a long working day. As a single woman on business trip in a new area, I am cautious about safety. Therefore I was not 100% happy about the fact that you can not dead lock the room door when you are inside it.
I quite enjoyed the first stay and went back again my second trip. One afternoon when I returned to my room, I was shocked that the room door was wide open! Luckily nothing was missing from the room. You can't see from the corridor that the door is open, because my room and the next door share a common laundry area with another secured door access to the corridor. However it is still scary, because whoever has access to the room next to mine can potentially steal my stuff when my door is open. I immediately told the front desk staff. Their explanation was that the door is heavy and sometimes cleaners don't close it properly. They were apologetic and gave me a bottle of wine. But I will never stay here again.

This review is for Kindifarm, Dural NSW

07 Oct 2012

I was stressing out when organising some entertainments for my 3-year old daughter birthday party. I only got 2 weeks to find something that is not weather dependent, not jumping castle or clown ( a friend's daughter party one week before had jumping castle and clown), not in play centre (her sister's party in play centre not long ago). So I thought of mobile animal farm. I found Kindifarm by Google with some good reviews. I contacted them, and they were very helpful. They were able to fit us in an afternoon full size farm animal party despite their busy schedule during school holiday. There were plenty of animals including lamb, goats, piglet, chicken, ducks and bunnies to entertain 26 kids for 2 hours. It was cloudy and possible rain yesterday. So they set up under the veranda a 2*2 playpen for big animals, and a smaller pen for baby animals. All kids had a great time holding, touching and feeding them. Although on the package sheet, there is sheep sheering show and something else included. But I was not sure it actually happened or not, because I was too busy entertaining the adults and organising food. For the age group of 3 to 8, it was already enough fun without any shows or games. It cost us $450 plus $50 travel fee from Sydney to Gosford. I thought it was reasonable compare to how much some clown, fairy or magician charges. All guests thought it was a good idea with something different. I also had farm animals theme cake and stickers in lolly bags. Overall it was a fun and memorable party - a big THANK YOU to Kindifarm. This is my first WOMO review, and I would recommend it to any parents thinking of kids party entertainment.
