Known for great seafood, this place is iconic on The Parade. It is always fresh and delicious, although buying fish for a family of 5 is not exactly the budget choice it used to be!
We attended a friend's wedding here. Everything was so polished and professional, just top notch. The food was delicious, the setting gorgeous. Would definitely look here for a reception venue.
This is very authentic food with far higher quality vegetarian than you will get elsewhere. It is a modest little place but the food is really excellent. Everything tastes fresh and made from scratch, using their own spice blends. A favourite of ours.
I have been here twice. The first time was one of the most memorable meals I've had, with the exception of pasta being a bit more salty than I like. The second time the service was really slow, we were sort of forgotten. It is not a cheap dining experience but when it works, it is very good. Overall, variable.
This may actually be my all-time favourite meal. Everything was incredible!!! I still daydream about the Fruit de Mer dish. The owner is very friendly and schmoozes with the crowd. Very intimate, ambient and romantic. It is expensive, but worth every cent.
This is amazing quality food. I went with a bunch of lawyers who were regulars and who just asked for the waitress to take care of them, without looking at a menu. Everything was incredible! Half the lawyers in town eat here.
Worked within a few metres of this restaurant, which was terrible for my waistline and purse. VERY expensive. Incredibly good! Authentic Italian food, nice ambience.
I've been here twice in recent months. The first time was for mother's day and the staff were very efficient, the meal was great and we were all happy. More recently we had my birthday brunch there. It was a bit less great. Our waitress didn't remember lots of details about our orders, things like drinks never arrived. A bit annoying.
I volunteer for a charity and the Highlander hosted our Xmas party. The function room is a bit too small and we were a bit crowded, but I was very impressed by the number of meals that were delivered. The food was lovely. Some of the salad bar options took a fair while to be re-stocked, but otherwise very good.
The big drawcard for this restaurant is that they home deliver. We have never dined on the premises themselves. The food is good - not great, but good. My husband is a huge Indian fan so it was nice to have a night off cooking from scratch that didn't involve a Pattak's jar.
