We tried a few places to get a replacement battery fitted for a Tag Heuer- the official Tag shop charged ~$130 and had to send the watch away to be done taking a week or two and many other shops wouldn't touch it.

Found this place and the guy was happy to do it pretty much while we waited. Battery and pressure test cost $50 and we collected about 25mins later. The guy that ran it seemed a bit frazzled - kept saying how busy he was but then kept chatting to us - but I think that's because he's more of a watchmaker/craftsman than businessman or shopkeeper!

Charming old fella, very friendly and seems to know what he's doing, he even gave us some advice on how best to clean/care for the watch. Would definitely recommend.

If, however, you'd rather pay more for a swanky shop with smartly-dressed sales assistants and comfy seats to lounge in then perhaps you'd prefer to try somewhere else.

Approximate cost: $AUD50
