Went here for lunch table of 16 people, nothing was too much trouble for these guys. Service was great, meal sizes more than ample, good quality food, and no rush too kick you out the door as soon as food was finished. Fantastic venue.

This is one of my all time favourite restaurants. Been here many times. Food is always to an excellent standard, steak is cooked to your liking to perfection. Garlic prawns best ever. Desserts are beautiful. Yes you pay a little more than some places, but it is worth it. If you have an issue with something they are straight onto it with no bad feelings. They can cater for any size group and still give the same amazing service as always. Go on indulge yourself, you wont be disappointed!

great public golf course, but more than that Chris in the pro shop is fantastic when it comes to fitting and recommending clubs. I went to another place to get fitted for clubs, they said the shelf clubs were perfect fit you will be alright to get them. I went to see Chris and he fitted me properly, including right shafts for swing speed, adjusting clubs for how I strike a ball etc. He is very patient and not pushy as to what he wants you to buy. Highly recommended.

Went on a Saturday night, was quite busy, staff were very pleasant and organised, apologised about delay when they had to remove a drunk patron, and discounted one of ours drinks for taking so long. Food was well prepared, well presented, and arrived in good time. Meals are reasonably priced and good sizes. Beers you will either like or hate, but there is always wine :) overall quite happy to recommend this restaurant.

Went here on a Friday night, the waiter was fantastic, great salesman. upon taking our drink orders we were left alone, and an argument erupted in the kitchen between the chefs and waiters. Not sure if that was what upset the night, but unfortunately I must say was expecting good things from here after reading the reviews. Sadly my veal scallopini was rather disappointing. A friend had the gnocchi and loved it, was very impressed with the quality and amount. Desserts were ok, coffee was terrible, tasted burnt and stale. Not a place I would be excited to go back too again, but like mentioned, there was an issue in the kitchen that night.

Not really one to like eating at a pub, but relented to pressure and visited this establishment. So glad I did. Its a little noisy, but remember it is a pub. We all had burgers, I had mushroom angus, absolutely amazing. Steak melts in your mouth, no stringy bits that keep coming after you bite it. Salad was fresh, ample sauce in burger. Side dish of fries were a little disappointing, very dry. every loved the burgers, will eat here again, or see if they do takeaway :)
You have to try it out if burgers are your thing, amazing!

Alfreds have been around for ages, and it is understandable why. These guys produce the best tasting burgers, fresh and tasty, the way real burgers should be. Their soup is awesome as well, service can be a little slow but considering how busy these guys are, totally understandable. (they do phone orders so you can order on your way). Having a burger while sitting next to the fire is a great way to have dinner on the go!! highly recommended, all they need is a frequent shopper card and I would be set.

Went here for dinner, entrée we ordered was a share platter, massive serve, very tasty and well worth the 38 dollars. Mains we all ordered different meals, fish and chips was great, pork belly was overcooked and dry, salt and pepper squid was basically just battered squid. Overall meals were of a good size and value, however left a little to be desired in cooking department. Maybe just went on a off night though, would probably go back and try again.

went here as somewhere different from the other two fish places in freo. Ordered the seafood platter for two, damn it was big! fish was very nice, lobster was tasty and fresh, salt and pepper squid was a bit below par, chilli mussels, well lets just say next time I go I will just order chilli mussels! Finally a restaurant that is not afraid of chilli! Wait staff leave a little to be desired, bit rude and almost feel like you are disturbing them for asking for anything.

quite surprised with this restaurant. Went expecting not much. I think their only issue is too many waitstaff. We had one for drinks, then another that also took our entrée order, then another that took our mains order. After 35 minutes and our beers had run out, mains rocked up. Where was our entrée? Woops! we declined the offer to take our mains back (we were hungry by then) and tucked into beautiful steaks and barramundi. Cooked brilliantly, and ample sauce to get through the whole meal. By way of apology for forgetting our entrée and making us wait so long, the restaurant gave us free dessert. again, amazing! Despite the set back I would be happy to eat here again.. and again...
