Good service, great seafood, very good value - not one person in our party could fit in birthday cal or dessert. All the seafood entrees and main were delicious

Prices comparable to surrounding fish & chip shops. Service was a bit slow, food decent though. Another place to eat fish and chips in Freo.

I've just had my mother visiting from New Zealand, and took her to Fremantle to do some of the tourist attractions. We hadn't booked anywhere for lunch, but just walked along the foreshore and liked the look of Joe's so walked in off the street and managed to get a table for 4. As soon as we sat down we had 2 staff members come over and give us water and place down glasses etc., they were back shortly afterwards to take our order, and then that arrived, again not long afterwards, really good for a Saturday I thought. Great service, and gorgeous food! In fact on the Monday we visited Fremantle again, walked in and out again of 3 other restaurants, and ended up going back to Joe's again as we knew how good it would be :)

I've had fish and chips from here once and thought they were pretty good. The staff were a little short with us but it was a busy day so they were probably a bit stressed. I like their outdoor seating area, it's lovely on a summers day overlooking the water. We didn't have to wait too long for our meals considering it was a busy day.

We like to come here for lunch sometimes on the weekends. The menu is a little pricey, but the view is lovely. You sit right at the waters edge. The quality of the food is usually quite good. They are also licensed if you would like to buy and alcoholic beverage from them. Staff enthusiasm could do with some work. Just about every time we have been there, the staff seem like they are bored and don't really want to be doing the job. Beyond all of this, we do enjoy eating here. :)

I think this place is a little overpriced for fish and chips, but I guess they can charge what they like considering the location. Located on the water front im Fremantle is certainly a bonus as sitting outside having a meal watching the boats on the water is lovely. The food is nice, we just had the normal fish and xhips, didnt have to wait too long. Staff could be alot friendlier as we weren't evwn greeted with hello when we lined up to order and a thank you wouldn't go a stray either.

went here as somewhere different from the other two fish places in freo. Ordered the seafood platter for two, damn it was big! fish was very nice, lobster was tasty and fresh, salt and pepper squid was a bit below par, chilli mussels, well lets just say next time I go I will just order chilli mussels! Finally a restaurant that is not afraid of chilli! Wait staff leave a little to be desired, bit rude and almost feel like you are disturbing them for asking for anything.

Approximate cost: $35

An absolute shocker! My wife & I dined at this restaurant & the fish I had dished up to me was off. I ate some of it but soon became aware that all was not well, by the taste & smell of the fish cutlets I had.
I complained to staff & I then spoke to the female manager. She argued that my meal was OK & offered no replacement, refund or discount. We actually became involved in a heated discussion in the restaurant, in front of staff & other customers.
I complained that the fish served was not local, but frozen. In answer to this the manager retalliated by saying that the prawns I had with my meal were local - they came from the Northern territory! If the prawns were local, God knows where the fish came from!
Never again would I even set foot inside their door.
