Being new to the area l went to see Dr Prema Nayak hoping her to be my new local G.P. She was kind and considerate but when l spoke about the reason of my visit being that l was wanting to speak to a counselor about personal issues she gave me a list of local therapists which l was happy about. But the part l was horrified about was when she then encouraged me to consider going on anti depressants without even knowing me or my situation well enough. l felt she was too eager to prescribe. I have been working through my personal issues with my new therapist and l am very happy with the support. Therefore l will be going to another G.P and not seeing Prema again. l would not recommend her on issues of mental health.
