My most 'local' bike shop. The staff are very friendly, never overbearing, and if you just want to sticky beak then they're OK with that too. I've been very happy with the mechanical jobs that they've done for me. They are certainly competitive on price and will negotiate on bigger ticket items.

This groovy bar on Lygon St is right opposite the East Brunswick Club. It has a stylish interior with recycled materials and atmospheric lighting. Tasty snacks are available. A good place for a chilled drink with a few friends, or to impress on a date.

This place has a great buzz and is always busy, with both take away and dining customers. The kitchen at the front, with flames leaping into the air, steam rising from woks, and freshly chopped ingredients adds a sense of Thai authenticity. There's a surprisingly large restaurant upstairs. Service is friendly and fast, and the flavours will keep you coming back.

This is my favourite tucked away clothes shop. Good things come in small packages. Limited stock but they always have something I like (they do both men's and women's). Lots of slightly off-beat brands and cool looks. The Fred Perry stuff is great, but not cheap. They would get 5 stars if it was a bit less $$ !!!

This is not really an eatery in the conventional sense, although you can sit and eat if you like. What they do, they do very well though. And that is sourdough. These guys were doing it long before it took off, and they are probably still the best. My favourites are the wholemeal sesame, and the Casalinga, which is a bit of a modern classic. They also do great sourdough breadsticks. Also - the vegetarian pies are outstanding, especially on a winter's day; curry or chilli, both with wholemeal pastry. Somehow healthy and delicious at the same time.

This review is mainly about their baked goods. The bread is good, but not as good as the best I've had, especially their sourdough's which have room for improvement. The sweet stuff is outstanding. Great coffee and the place is always _packed_ on the weekends, which can be good or bad, depending on your mood.

I've been coming here for about 5 years now. They aren't the cheapest place around, but they do know their stuff. I have a pretty good nose for the BS that you get fed by some places, and there is none of that here. The guys are also really friendly and offer honest advice.

I've been coming here for years. They always do a great job. Very friendly chatty staff. They don't bother with shampoo etc, it's more of a 'basic' service, but this is what I like about it. I've had much more expensive haircuts that haven't been nearly as good.
