Our hot water completely stopped, nothing at all coming out of the hot tap (not even cold water). I rang Le Belle Plumbing & John could incidentally come out within the hour! That was just luck, I know, but he worked the problem out immediately & had the part he needed with him. The whole thing was done in half an hour. Very reasonable call out rate too. I have previously paid almost double to a plumber a few years ago for a toilet blockage - that was all labour!! John is also, importantly, a very friendly & nice bloke. Explains everything. Now tat I have found La Belle Plumbing, I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Approximate cost: $205.00

This little boutique cake shop also sells flowers, so it makes a great one stop shop for presents! Their cakes are made fresh daily & are unique, delicious & very tasty. They are pricier than Cup Cake Queens in Williamstown, but their cakes are a little bit nicer. Unfortunately though they offer no membership or loyalty discounts & also no bulk order discounts. They are friendly & lovely though & have I mentioned how delicious those gorgeous little cakes are?! They do really, really good icing too!

Approximate cost: $4.50 each

My kids & I love this cute little shop in Williamstown. It's a favorite place for a treat. I recently bought a dozen of the delectable little cakes for my daughter's birthday party & they were a huge hit. You can become a member & save some money on dozens & special orders, which is worth it. The cakes are fresh & as tasty as the yummy icing. They also have mini cupcakes for the littler kids & good coffee too.

Approximate cost: $3.50 per regular sized cupcake - $6 special for cupcake & coffee.

I have been to Chin Chin's a few times now & the quality is always predictably excellent. The staff are polite & around when you need them, but disappear when you don't. They offer authentic & really, really tasty mixed Asian style dishes. It's a great place to take a group & share dishes.

Approximate cost: $18-noodle dishes/$24 other mains

A central main street Yarraville (Anderson St) bakery/cafe, which used to be a modest little Greek cake shop years ago - now an expanded & very busy cafe - but still owned & run by the same local family. Always good quality fresh food & good coffee. The cakes are amazing & too good to refuse & they have a good choice of lunch options. Always packed & a thriving hub of activity, so you need to be a little patient to get served. They work hard though to serve as fast as possible.

A small but well stocked kid's clothing store, where you can also pick up the odd accessory, like kid's smocks etc. They can be a little pricey, but good when on sale & for presents. Mostly designer kid's fashion & shoes.

This review is for Westgate Health Co-Op, South Kingsville VIC

This is a Co-op style doctor's surgery, also including their other medical centre at 2 Home Rd, Newport (9391 2222). I used to be a member, as it is good value - but the catch is that I could rarely get an appointment when I - or my family - were actually sick! You seem to have to book in days in advance to see a Dr. The co-op membership was supposed to give patients (& members) access to both clinics (Vernon St, Sth Kingsville & Home Rd, Newport), but I found when ringing between the two surgeries desperate for an appointment one day when I was quite ill, if I hadn't been to the Home Rd surgery previously, they wouldn't accept me, saying I was considered a 'new patient'. This is despite the fact that by being a paying annual member of this co-op I was entitled to go to either clinic. Not good enough service for health practitioners & way too 'exclusive'. It's a great pity though as the concept of the co-op service & annual membership (which means you don't pay up front for the year - even without a health care card), is a really good & sound one in principle.

A lovely & interesting shop which stocks unusual women's clothing & a really good array of giftware & also Christmas ornaments & decorations. Their clothes are sized from small-medium, up to quite large, & they don't sacrifice style for size. A good place to pick up a special piece for a party or wedding. Lots of colourful & very different clothes which you won't see around everywhere. I like to go there after Christmas to take advantage of their sale & put away a few beautiful ornaments & decorations for next year's Christmas. The prices are a little high normally, especially in the clothes range. The giftware isn't too bad, epecially as a present.

This has to be THE place to buy the freshest & best quality, not to mention the best array, of seafood & fish in the West. They take massive amounts of Christmas orders every year (make sure you get in before the cut off in the prior week), & you will need to line up for a while even to pick up & pay for your seafood on Christmas Day. I love it for the choice of fish in their display fridges. A couple of local butchers in Williamstown also stock Conway produce, but they will mark up the price significantly. Best to go direct to the source & get it at Conway. They also have a huge selecton of frozen seafood items & you can buy in bulk. Best variety of seafood this side of the Vic Market.

This is a relatively new little shop down a lane way off Douglas Pde. You only know it's there as they have a sandwich board sign on Douglas Pde when they are open. Their opening hours & days are worth checking before you go as they don't open some days & at some times. They take orders for parties & weddings & have a great array of tempting & beautiful cup cakes. It's a favourite shopping stopover for my kids when we go shopping in Willi - it's hard to make it past the sign with little kids without making a visit for a delectable little cake!
