Both my kids go here, my eldest who is now four has been going twice a week since he was fifteen months old. The staff are all very caring, they take the time to welcome your child to the room each day, and ease them away from mum or dad. If separating from mum or dad is a problem, the will hold and hug and distract while you say goodbye and disappear. They run good programs, particularly for the older kids and they encourage independence. They record info for the parents each day and at my request they ran a communication book for my son for a while, to get info from daycare to home, as my husband was picking up and not reading the info round the centre. Someone in the office is always willing to go and check on your child and talk with their teachers, if you call up to see how they're doing that day. This is a great place for young children to develop.

This Bakers Delight is always enjoyable to visit, the bread and rolls are always fresh and delicious, the scones are always a decent size. The front counter staff are all fairly young but they know their product and are always friendly and helpful without being pushy. They also have a drinks cabinet. This store is conveniently located within the Mt Waverley shopping precinct, there is plenty of parking and some benches nearby, so if you come out with the kids and grab a bread roll, they can sit down or run around in the pedestrian are right next door to the store. I enjoying visiting this store regularly.

This country road is a large store with a good range of stock. The staff are available and will run and get you another size without you having to yell out across the store or parade around in your underwear to get it yourself. There is always a sale rack which is worth a look. The layout is spacious, the men's and women's are obviously divided so no confusion there. There returns policy works, when my husband didn't like the shirt I bought him or any of the others they had, they took it back and refunded no questions asked.

This review is for Total Health Chiropractic, Armadale VIC

Total health chiropractic is a great place to go if you need some tuning up. Wonderful with kids, the receptionists are all very polite and attentive and patient with raucous young children. The chiro is also great with children and babies, you will feel they're in trustworthy hands that really care about doing them some good. Also great if you're pregnant, has all the equipment required for big pregnant bellies to lay down...heaven! Lots of random appointment times available so there's something convenient for everyone. On-site parking.

This is a big store with plenty of product, but I can never find my way round it easily and am never sure if they don't have what I'm looking for or if I just can't find it. And I can never find anyone to ask. The staff all look like highschool kids which would be fine if they knew their stuff, but they don't and often come across as if they could care less. This place could be so much more if it had good knowledgeable staff, it always comes across as cheap, just like a $2 shop crammed with items but non one knows anything about them or where they are. I've been in $2 shops with better staff. It is my place of last resort for toys.

For me, this is a great store. Prices are the best, they have a wide range of products and are knowledgeable about them. After researching the products we needed, these guys always had the best price. Service is great, they will carry things out to the car, even if it's parked down the street or across the road. Good with the kids, helpful although forthright. Which some people obviously see as being pushy. Just know what you need and stick to it.

This review is for Baby Bunting, Bentleigh East VIC

This is a big store and it can be a bit difficult to locate the exact product you are after. Finding staff can be hard, but once I found one, they were able to answer all my questions on a particular carseat. The prices are high, the same products are available other places for less. I did not buy the above mentioned carseat from baby bunting. However, if you cannot find a product or accessory anywhere else, chances are good baby bunting might have it. This store is never my first stop when I need something for my young kids, now, or when they were babies.

This review is for Snugtime Baby & Childrens Clothing Outlet, Cheltenham VIC

verified email - 14 Apr 2009

This factory outlet has twice a year opens to invited people (must sign up via the website or can get an invite from a friend, they usually give you several invites to give to other people). They have some really good quality brands, snugtime, big softies bibs. The snugtime sleepsuits and sleeping bags are much less than buying them in a retail store.

This review is for Pinewood Dental Group, Mount Waverley VIC

A great dental practice, easy to access, reception staff are good, dentist was great. I made an appointment at short notice and was taken on with no great drama. The cost was as expected, the problem was fixed, now myself and my husband both go there and I'm planning on taking my 3 year old as well.

This review is for Ashburton Pool & Recreation Centre, Ashburton VIC

I use the pool with my my young kids and was happy to pay to do so. One day I went along, only to be told that now they realized my 3 yr old was 3, I needed to pay full adult price for myself to take him in for a swim. Prior to that I would just pay for him. Suddenly he turns 3, what do they expect? That all of a sudden he can go in on his own without me? Well, in the baby pool yes, but what's the point of that? He turns 3, I go from paying $3.90 to take him for a swim, to paying nearly $9! To take a 3 yr old for a swim! I was extremely annoyed, and I think this price may keep many families from taking their child swimming. I rang management but all they could do was explain, well, some people will leave their 3 year old swimming on his own, and go for a swim themselves, that's why I need to pay a full swim price. Right, I understand your problem, but that's YOUR problem. Put more staff on to police the place if that is an issue. I don't mind paying a bit more but $9 is crazy. Unfortunately, we don't go swimming as often as we'd like to now. The cafe staff are very slow. the hydrotherapy pool which is the best one for pre-schoolers, is often roped off for lessons, with 1 or 2 lanes only for play. Gee, reading this, I wonder why I still go there? Lack of other options.

Approximate cost: $9
