This place opens up extremely early so when I get to the city around 7 am I have time to sit down for a nice morning coffee and croissant. There is a large variety of croissant from sweet to savory. My favorite would be the chocolate and the ham and cheese one. Its not too oily so when I finish eating I don't feel like I need to go for a jog. Their chicken and mayo baguette is also worth a try if you ever do find yourself in the area. Staff are always friend and smiling, already read to be of service. Its always good to see a friendly face especially in Sydney where everyone is rushing to go everywhere.

This is definitely by far my favorite BBQ restaurant in Sydney. A favorite of mine is the roast duck. Even though it is a little bit more expensive than the other places its totally worth the extra dough. I also ask for extra sauce, the dark one that goes with the duck. I can say that they do need to improve the customer service there. Last time I went I stood around for 15 mins just waiting to be seated. There was some staff members that was just standing around chatting away. When they got to me I was pretty annoyed. However I keep on going back because their food is always spot on!!
I'll just stick to takeaway next time :)

This review is for Barby's Puff, Donuts N Bakery, Sydney NSW

This is one of the most oiliest places I have ever eaten from. Its set out is very similar to bread top how you walk around the shop and choose what you like. Most of the bread there look very tempting because of its shinny coat of either honey or butter. Last time I couldn't resist and brought myself 3 different breads and after I had one I couldn't eat the rest. It was way too oil and sweet. Too much of Barby's and you would be getting a heart attack. Don't indulge too much

Out of all the tobacco shop I have been through throughout the year this one is the one that provides the most variety. Never once have I not been able to purchase what I am after. They have a variety of flavors for cigar lovers.
It also has some funky designs for Zippo lighters. It saved me once when I forgot to buy a birthday present for a close friend to of mine, so I quickly ran in and brought a Zippo lighter.
If you a smoker of those not to common cigarettes you'll most likely find it in this shop if you cant find it anywhere else.

I've never been to the other souvenir shops around the area but when I did visit this one it did give me reasonable service. It was one of the first times I found myself bargaining again. The staff there are very friendly and is happy to compromise on the price. As soon as you walk in the door they would greet you with a friendly smile and ask if you needed any assistance. The staff members there couldn't actually speak English well which was a pleasant surprise.
If you're visiting and want to buy some gifts I would say this shop is the way to go

This place has a great variety of both sunglasses and glasses. They have all the high class brands like Gucci, Prada, Armani for people who have expensive taste. One thing I love about this place is that it is open to bargaining. I went in there wanting to get a year supply of contact lens. They advised me the price was $200 per every 6 months. I bargain it down to $160 every 6 months because I was buying it for a whole year. They also have the machine that they use to claim directly from our health fund so we don't have to fill any claim forms. The staff there are always friend and knowledgeable. Definitely a place worth the visit.

This review is for Everspring Supermarket, Haymarket NSW

Whenever I am craving for one of those Asian drinks like Sars or Lychee lemon tea I would be visiting this supermarket. Other supermarket around the area doesn't seem to have the same variety. They also have all the variety I am looking for at a decent price. They also have fresh veggies in the front that always look tempting.
It can get confusing because both side because you can't pay for certain things on either side. I think even though the business is one it must have 2 separate owners that agreed to not steal the other owners business. So the first few times when I went to the counter to pay for my drink I always go shooed to the other counter. The isles can be quite squashy if you're anything bigger than a size 12.
All in all a pretty decent place to shop in the city.

This review is for Savoy Bakery, Haymarket NSW

This bakery is right behind my old work place and I use to pop by once in a while to buy their cheesecakes. Their prices are fairly similar to bread top which I would say is pretty pricey considering there are many other cake/bakeries in the city. I stop going there after I brought a cheese cake from them, brought it home only to find mold on it. I just chucked it right into the bin and never went back.
For everyone who is thinking of buying from this place, please check to ensure that the food has no mold and is eatable before purchasing and taking home.

This review is for Kura Kura, Haymarket NSW

verified email - 24 Jan 2014

I love Kura not because of their tasty food but because every time I order take away from them they can have my food done and ready for pick up within 5 mins. Its one of the fastest places to cook my food so I still have time left over after I finish eating to read a magazine. They also are very generous which the sauces. I realize that some Japanese restaurant charges for an extra packet or wasabi or soya sauce or even some mayonnaise. With them I can see it can be inconsistent. Some times they charge me extra 20 cents some times nothing. So I find myself wondering if their going to charge me extra today or not every time I call. Only wish they could have some consistency with their charges. Beside that no complaints at all. Keep up the fast pace good work!!!

This review is for Emperor Garden BBQ & Noodles, Sydney NSW

The BBQ duck and Soya chicken here has always been one of my favorite. I've never been inside the restaurant personally but only buying takeaway to bring home and eat dinner with my partner. They have been pretty consistent over the years. They have never overcook or under cook any of my meats or forget to put in the sauces. The only complaint I do have is when they finish chopping up my meat and putting it into a bag its all done by the same person. Even the person taking the money from me and handing me the bag so their hands are oily. The change they hand me back are oily. Last but not least the plastic bag holder is oil so I always have to have tissue prepared to wipe down the bag and my hands. Other than that I have no complaints.
