Woo-hoo! Soul Mama is a great place for a meal. Not being vegetarian myself I was reluctant to go to this Vegetarian meals only cafe'. Man oh man, I never realized that veggies could do the things they did. Its only $15 and you choose 5 things from the buffet menu. Not bad for a spot literally right on the beach, with really tasty, healthy food.

I completely dis-agree with the staff not being attentive, friendly and serving. You could have a chat with them and they made you feel very welcome.

Soul Mama is an excellent place for a meal and I am wanting to host a function this year there also!

Approximate cost: $15 for 5 selections from buffet

Hull Road Fish and Chips are the place for really nice chips, tasty fish and hamburgers that are really good. It worth the wait and I prefer this shop over all others in the area.

I recommend them strongly.

The pizzas here at Pizza Lovers are nice, but I don't feel like they are up to standard. Our family have had several pizzas over the last few months and in comparison to other local stores, they are just not that great.

Although they are a great price, if you can afford to go elsewhere I suggest you do. They seem to have a lot of the classics but there is no 'passion' in the food.

I don't think i'd use them again, unless it was for a party or something like that.

Approximate cost: $Under $10.00

This review is for Dixons Recycled, Fitzroy VIC

Dixons have a great shop, and a even better selection of records and cd's.

I sorted through all the records and found some great Frank Sinatra records. They were both around the $7.00 mark.

You could probably find good records at op-shops for $1, but Dixons have it nicely arranged and a nice service. They also pay cash for records.

Approximate cost: $Hmm, A decent record around $8-$14 ish...

This review is for Fat Helen's, Windsor VIC

Fat Helans on Chapel Street is a great little store. It has a variety of second hand retro clothing (mostly for females), however they are at a reasonable price. They also sell a great collection of badges and patches. They also have a some great collectible items, jewelery, signs etc:

I have nothing negative to say against Fat Helans, but I'll only go back when I need some badges. This type of store is something you would only go to 'every so often' to see if there is anything new.

This review is for Best Western Frankston International Motel, Frankston VIC

Best Western Frankston International Motel;

What Can I say. OVER RATED is the words to describe it. 5 members of our family stayed in one room, as we all crammed in there. One room costed around the $180 mark for one night, as they had to bring in a bed. If we were too stay in 2 rooms, it would have cost a ridiculous $340-odd bucks! FOR ONE NIGHT! We could not justify that, because there was nothing there but the room.

All the beds were hard, the couch smelt off and the unit small and cramped. There were two rooms. A bathroom (with corner - spa and shower built in, and a vanity and towel rack) and a very dull and boring main room with a tv, a double bed, 2 singles and a double fold out couch. The air conditioning was terrible, the door backed onto the main road in Frankston, and the horrible humming sound came out of the fridge.

This is not a place to bring your family.Nor do I think its a place for a honeymoon, relaxing weekend, corporate stop-over or anywhere where you need a good nights sleep.

Approximate cost: $160 Per Night

This review is for Dymocks, Melbourne VIC

I went to Dymocks today insearch of an Edna Walling Book. The woman who helped me knew of here and led me to where the book was. She was friendly and helpfull, much like the other staff there

I ended up buying two books, and they both have come in handy.

Although, I do prefer Borders, Dymocks gives them a run for there money.

I disagree about the lack of customer service.

Yes, sometimes you are left waiting at a counter, but you just walk to the next one. If you ask someone where something is they'll point it out & if they don't know, just walk over to an information wall and it tells you everything.

You can't expect the staff to know everything about the store, but you have to hand it too them that they do a great job.

I buy lots from Myer, and I suggest if you do the same to get a MyerOne card. Although is One point per Dollar, you get a free $20.00 giftcard at 2000 points. Yes, I know you have to Spend $2000 with them, but buy a computer and your halfway there. Think about it, its something for nothing.

Myer is mystore (lol yes, from the corny tv add)

p.s. it was unfortunate about your gift cards Fiona, lol.. Who would have thought a company turning down that much money. Tisk Tisk

This review is for York On Lilydale Resort, Mount Evelyn VIC

You can usually get an acceptable meal here, but sometimes the quality is lowered. I think it may have changed hands since JodieJ posted her comment (17th September 2007), and the quality has improved.

Recently, they held our staff break-up party, along with 2 others. So there were in excess of 100 patrons, but I have to admit the food was great and the full menu was sill on offer.

You don;t need to dress up fancy for the York On, but I disagree with JodieJ about the pub being old fasioned. If she's thinking of the bar in the restaurant its just a bar, nothing bad about it.

York On also offer Pokies, and have a great childens playground (two birds with one stone, ahah :) )

This place is great, if you don't feel like cooking

This review is for Singapore Airlines, Melbourne VIC

I traveled several months to Singapore from Melbourne for a conference. The flight attendents were so helpful and attentive. The service and food was very nice. They have plenty of entertainment for kids, and a large selection of movies for all ages.
