I'm so glad there's a large bookstore that still remains! Love this store, they have everything! It's great to walk in and be able to buy a book on the spot rather than have to order online and wait. Prices aren't too bad also. They also have a nice gift section.

Love Dymocks. The staff here are always very helpful if I'm looking for a specific book or just something by genre.

All the staff that I've come across love to talk about what they've read and engage in conversation about different authors, styles, etc.

While their stock can be a little expensive, if there is a book that I don't want to wait to be shipped from overseas, this is the first place I go.

That's great to know - got a couple of birthdays coming up soon. And you're right on the overseas stuff - ordering is fine but then you wait weeks for them to come. Sometimes it's worth it to pay that little extra for service and availability rather than go cost price and then wait.

Dymocks's location is very strategic - very convenience for me ... Once every two weeks i stop by at the Dymocks... to check out on the novels (if they have it on sale) ... The staff are very friendly and helpful ..

Dymocks in the city has everything! Every time I've been looking for a book, Dymocks in the city has had it in stock, I'm sure they order things in if you can't find it there but I've gone in looking for some whacky titles and they have had them all. The staff here are mostly stuck behind the counters because it is pretty busy but the store has an easy layout. Dymocks also has a good loyalty system so if you keep going back you can bring down your costs.

Good place to browse books but lacks a children's area which would be useful. The staff are friendly and helpful.

This is a great bookstore in the middle of Melbourne, I like it much better than the Borders in the city. There is also a great little cafe, that aerves gluten free food, there. I have often got special order books from them and have had nothing but fantastic service from them.

I went to Dymocks today insearch of an Edna Walling Book. The woman who helped me knew of here and led me to where the book was. She was friendly and helpfull, much like the other staff there

I ended up buying two books, and they both have come in handy.

Although, I do prefer Borders, Dymocks gives them a run for there money.
