Have come here many years and the food is always good and plentiful; what you would expect from an Italian restaurant. The staff are also friendly and there's parking at the rear. A word of warning: Book ahead, as we find it usually very full.

This place has a good atmosphere, a great selection of things to eat (ranging from burgers to delicious desserts) and good service. You can also dine al fresco here and there is parking at the rear of the building.

Lovely ambience and you will get to experience new foods and tastes. Almond Bar is not just your average Middle-eastern restaurant, even though you will find traditional dishes such as hommous. Run by two Syrian sisters, you will get to try some great new dishes that I don't know if you'll find anywhere else - like Za'a tar, a dip made from oregano, sumac, sesame seed and sea salt, or Fattoush, a grilled pita bread with cucumber, tomato, capsicum, lettuce, garlic and sumac.

Approximate cost: $10-$15

Great place to visit after the movies (or before). Wonderful pizza in an area that has such great ambience. The staff serving us were very nice and one of the pizza makers, Peppino, is a real scream.

Booked an evening for myself, wife and friends on a Saturday night. Turned up only to find someone had cancelled our booking and they didn't have a table for us. Worst of all, they made no offer of recompense, i.e. a free pizza or meal and on a Saturday night it's pretty hard to suddenly rock up at another restaurant without a booking.

This review is for Jazzi's Indian & Continental Restaurant, South Hurstville NSW

Very good indian food here and if you like it hot, this is definitely the place. Prices are reasonable and vegetarians are catered for. Of special note are the Daal Tarka and Palak Paneer. The restaurant is usually well attended through-out the week, so I know I'm not the only one coming back.

This review is for Gondola On The Bay, Phillip Bay NSW

Great Italian food at a very reasonable price. Plenty of parking outside the Yarra Bay Sailing Club where the restaurant is located. Service is good and the restaurant overlooks Phillip Bay, so you see some amazing sunsets. The Chef's name is Carmine and he's a lovely chap.

Not a cheap restaurant by any stretch of the imagination, but superlative in terms of the quality of service and attention offered, and in the fine food served up. The owner, Armando Percuoco, is friendly and approachable, ensuring all guests get the best of attention. At the same time, he keeps a steely eye on the kitchen. Amazing effort!! This is definitely the place to take that special someone. Of special note is the olive oil served up in the restaurant - it comes from Armando's own olive grove in the Hunter valley. I'm told the signature dish is Fettuccine al tartufovo (fettuccine with cream and parmesan, topped with a fried truffle egg.
Tossed at the table). Looking forward to trying it.

This review is for Thai 1st Time Restaurant, Beverly Hills NSW

Very good Thai food at a reasonable price, with prompt service. The decor is very nice too, so the restaurant has a nice ambience. The waitresses' command of the English language is not 100% so you'll need to be careful that you've both understood each other. Otherwise, they're very friendly.

This restaurant is probably at the pricier end, but it's definitely the place to take that special someone for that special occasion. Service was very good and the food delicious. The degustation menu (5 dishes) is definitely worth a try and they even have a menu for vegetarians. Of special note was the Blue swimmer crab with poached chicken salad with thai basil, coriander, lemon grass, mint and coconut and for dessert - Yucatan Chocolate pudding with stracciatella & drunken chocolate sauce. As an option you can have specially selected wines brought out for each dish.

Approximate cost: $34
