Apart from being so famous this Shine Skin (search 'Shine facial' in Broadsheet / Google / Facebook) + I was also referred here to Sheridan by my best friend. My best friend is a person that is extremely discerning and everything must be top of the pop. I trust her judgement.

Finally Shine moved to Richmond (from Kew which was a pain to travel from and to).

So I took the plunge , booked 'Extraction for new client' online and requested Sheridan (the clinic owner) to do my skin. I was instructed to bring my skincare products so she can advise what and not to use.

To say she's very good is an understatement. She was extremely knowledgeable i.e. explained in detail of all ingredients I should use in a skin product. She advised me which products i should stop and continue using.

She was the only person I can say confidently : a 'skin care specialist' (i.e. not a beautician) that finally able to tell my skin is not oily. My skin is dry. And my skin has a lot of bumps i.e. uneven tone and textures due to thickening skin that I never exfoliated (she was the only one that spotted that - never other 'beauticians')

With other beauticians (i.e. note i don't use the word 'skin specialist') they've been giving me wrong advice and determined incorrectly that my skin type is oily. Hence I was always given wrong products (i.e. drying cleanser, harsh scrub, and flimsy moisturiser). No wonder my skin never felt 'right'.

Sheridan performed facial extraction (without lancets/comedo extractors/ pin needles) with tissues + she recommended me microdermabrasion. She inspired trust the very first time she introduced herself (which is rare especially in the skin treatment industry).

So I said yes. While performing the microdermabrasion, she showed me deposits of my hardened skin. I was highly surprised. After the treatment, I was shocked how smooth (bumpless!) my skin for the first time in MY WHOLE LIFE. I never ever thought my skin could be this smooth and even-textured.

She was a soft spoken person. Friendly, very approachable and no snooty nor snobby vibe (that 'i know more than you since I am a skin expert' tone). She's very personable and extremely lovely to chat with. I thought to myself throughout the treatment (1.15 hrs) 'what a bonus, an expert yet a friendly person'

More importantly, she's not someone who shove on your face with products to sell.

I'm a highly satisfied and return customer. I've already booked (and can't wait!) for my next service (3rd Nov) with Sheridan.

The online booking & confirmation is a bonus too since I hate calling people for bookings!
