I am a 60 year old woman who was told by her Dentist that she was in serious trouble with gum disease. I was referred to a periodontist and to Ocean Orthodontics. I thought that braces were just for kids but, after seeing photographs of other mature people, and being cared for in a very sympathetic manner,I knew that I was not alone. The whole process of straightening my teeth has been excellent. I faced certain challenges in my daily life but, due to the care and understanding of Dr Pat and his staff, I coped much better than I thought I would. I thought that older peop;e had to adjust to uneven teeth and the Bugs Bunny look. I now feel more confident, I can smile spontaneously, and photographs no longer hold terror for me.
