I went to have a filling done and it turned out to be 2 weeks of hell. I went back to see him 10 days after the filling was done as the pain was unbearable and he still insisted to do a root canal. He said that I was wasting his time for coming back and not wanting to do the root canal. There was no pain before the filling was done and I found that root canal was not necessary for now. I was given a prescription for anti-biotics and was advised to take pain killers. 5 days of anti-biotics and pain killers did not ease the pain. I was so sick and my husband had to make calls to several dentists to get an appointment for me on that very day. A group dental practice in Balwyn managed to squeeze me in. A young dentist attended to me. She x-rayed the tooth and just removed the top nerve that was exposed and replaced the filling. It costed me just a fraction of the cost I would have to pay for root canal. I slept so well after that!!!
