Been here a few times for dinner now. All in all pretty much your usual average Chinese restaurant. Prices aren't overly expensive. The BBQ meat here is above average. The Beef dish we had used too much baking soda to tenderize the meat. Pork dish was also undercooked.
Have been here a couple of times for Yum Cha. Their dim sum are definitely a step higher in quality than most other Yum Cha places...especially the dumplings containing prawn. The design/decor inside is also impressive - one of the more nicer looking yum cha establishments. But of course the higher quality food comes the higher prices. Its not cheap but it is worth the visit if you haven't been before for yum cha. (Dinner on the other hand is not worth the exuberant prices).
Pretty much the best Pho in the Box Hill area(though of course falls short compared to Richmond/Springvale). Pretty good value for money. For around $10 you get a decent amount of Pho and beef. Service is pretty quick. Perfect if you're looking for a quick lunch and decent Pho.
This is benchmark for Yum Cha in Melbourne. The food here is of decent quality at very reasonable prices. Service can be a bit hit and miss but on average I have no complaints. They have set sessions on weekends and booking is a must(though you still may have to wait for a table if you are late).
Average Pho - could do with more noodles for the price and the raw beef was clumped together. If you don't mind the place is a bit dirty - a cockroach appeared at one stage on the side of a friend's bowl and disappeared.
Pho with wagyu beef....apparently. $14 for hardly any pho! $13 for a "Green Papaya Salad" which was mostly lettuce. Peking duck was a tiny pancake which was stale. Obviously won't be coming back for a second visit.
Impressive atmosphere/location in a basement off Russell Street. We ordered the set lunch menu and it was quality food - I'd just wish there was more of it considering the high price. We also sat at the bar/bench and was able to watch them prepare/cook our meals while we waited.
Ordered Ramen noodles and was really satisfied. The noodles were cooked nicely and they have a really generous portion. Prices were not expensive too. Friend ordered bento box which came with some sashimi - sashimi was not fresh.
If you're into bento boxes then this place has a impressive selection of bento boxes. It can get busy during lunch and as the place isnt huge come earlier rather than later. Our meals came quickly after ordering, food tasted pretty good on the whole and prices were pretty much on the spot.
Great tasting home cooked style japanese food...plus its organic! The place it tiny so either phone ahead and ask them to reserve a table for you or go early. Portions are reasonable and prices ok.
