I nervously booked a hair appointment, hating having a hair cut. I was made to feel so comfortable and had a gorgeous lady, who showed a lot of empathy toward my anxious nerves.

Thoroughly enjoyed my hair wash and massage and could have easily closed my eyes and had a nap.

My hair cut was quick and the hairdresser checked and double checked to make sure she hadn't missed any stray bits of hair.

I didn't have a colour, just wash, cut and blow dry.

And I'm so sorry, I have forgotten the hairdresser's name, but I felt very comfortable with her and will definitely return.

They prefer you to book on their website.

They are a newish business and we attended as a family of 5, however, group bookings for example parties would be great here.

Tree Climbing with many challenges and flying foxes. Bookings are made in 2 hour blocks and the kids won't come down for food to eat, it's that much fun.

All participants, must complete a practical session first after being harnessed up and once the staff give the all clear, climbing can be commenced.

Staff were friendly and weren't by any means on participants continuously, so we felt like we had some freedom within the trees. The harnesses are fantastically made and as a mother I never felt unsafe at any time.

However, prepared to be a wee bit sore the next day.

There is no BBQs and no shop, so pack a picnic. Plenty of viewing areas if you don't wish to climb.

Love it!!

After the sudden death of my father in law we had to apply for a refund of his travel for which he was departing on 15 days after he died.

After 5 months of a very long process with the travel agent, I then filled in all the forms with Covermore on their website. I provided all the documentation they requested.

9 days after submitting the claim we received a reply requesting further information. A death certificate with the cause of death and a medical certificate to be completed by my father in law's doctor also giving a medical history for him.

As my father in law died of a heart attack at home alone, it was with the coroner's office and I phoned the Coroner who kindly put a brief letter together advising any questions could be made to them as the cause of death would not appear on the death certificate for near twelve months.

We had to make an appointment with the doctor who also had to ring the Coroner for further details as he had no information at hand as this was a unexpected sudden passing. It turned out to be two trips to the doctor before the forms were completed.

I basically had to prove my father in law did not have a pre existing condition.

So when the refund advice arrived by email 2 months after submitting - it was wrong!! - I replied explaining it was wrong and actually set out the whole refund showing exactly what the refund should be. I also put my phone number for the person to contact me direct.....nothing.

After I didn't hear back, I phoned and was transferred to a nice staff member who was very understanding and said he would sort out the difference. But the refund was still incorrect.

Thankfully this time I had a direct number and this same staff member was really great at solving the refund and getting it correct - third time lucky - but three months later, alot of heartache to myself for the hassle I had to go through when they could have a note on their website titled something like 'With the Coroner's Office' or 'waiting on cause of death' which links to the 'Doctor's report'

Had I known I needed more paperwork completed, I would have preferred to have known prior to submitting the claim, instead of being advised a week and a half after.

I don't understand how I was able to calculate the refund due, yet the staff who do this day in day out took three attempts to get it right. Their generic email offering their sympathy wore thin after the third email, as it was worded exactly the same as the previous one and their lack of personal contact (all by email) unless I phoned them I consider very impersonal.

I even asked for the cheque to be made payable to the sole beneficiary of the will and sent through the probate copy as probate had been finalised months prior and all accounts in my father in law's name had been closed. When the first cheque arrived in my father in law's name, I gave up. I felt like I was talking to a brick wall.

We are regular travellers and I have used Covermore at least 10-15 times in the past and have never had a claim, so I guess I have had nothing to comment about, however the stress in trying to prove my father in law's innocence so to speak was quite traumatic and no one should have to go through or feel the way I did.

I will most definitely be using another travel insurer next time I travel.

Try dragging the kids out of this store...

It was great to step in out of the heat and explore all the goodies on offer. I picked up a 'Choo Choo Bar' a favourite from my childhood and the children browsed the handmade chocolates which seemed to take forever.

The staff member offered assistance by offering a a couple frogs all handmade on the premises to the children.

I also picked up a block of their handmade Rocky Road which we shared later at home.

Very reasonably priced and a good selection to choose from.

This store is in the main street of town, not to be confused with the one near the Moonta Museum.

A not for profit museum, displaying artifacts from aircraft to uniforms to photographs from the Vietnam War.

It is run by volunteers, many are returned servicemen dedicating their time to educate the many visitors through the doors.

They have a fantastic holographic presentation which is well worth watching.

There is still alot of work to do in the museum in terms of putting together displays but there was just so much to see and the hour we spent in the museum was not enough time.

Very educational and very moving. If you go to Phillip Island, you must take some time to walk through the museum.

We did a lot of research into the best viewing and decided on the 'Penguin Plus'. they only allow 190 people in this seating area and it is the closest you will be to the penguins as they arrive ashore for the evening. Although the value is excellent, it was expensive.

We got there early to choose our seats as once the penguins arrive the Rangers ask for no talking and no moving about.

The Rangers were incredibly knowledgable and friendly too!!

There is a cafe, a gift shop, plenty of restroom facilities.

A must see that you will not see anywhere else in Australia. Absolutely brilliant!!

I attended a friend's birthday with 20 of us in attendance for lunch. I was really indecisive about what I wanted as the meals are quite expensive and I did think it would be a typical expensive meal where I was starving afterwards. Boy was I wrong.

My friend ordered the Fishermans platter for one for $32. It was huge, she could have easily shared it.

Although this sounded really tempting, I ordered the entree size salt and pepper squid and was relieved when after asking if it could be done as a main size they said no. There was no need to be main sized, it was a decent size for an entree and I was just so full afterwards.

The meal was really delicious and I was impressed at all the meals that were delivered to the table. One friend ordered a burger and I did ask her how she was going to pick it up.

Great serving sizes, delicious meals and really friendly service. Will definitely go back.

I must say this chippie was flat chat when we stopped in, whereas the one down the road wasn't.

We grabbed a Fish and Chips with a wait time of about 15 minutes. The staff were working non stop and when we enquired as to how much longer the staff were polite and apologetic for the wait.

There is a small amount of seating available or head across the road to the grassed areas.

Food was hot, tasty and the chips were just yum.

We ordered a take out meal. Steamed rice for two along with a Gang Massaman and Pad Satay with Chicken.

The main meal prices are on par with those charged in the city so this is I thought was quite reasonable.

The meals were nice, however I have never had a massaman with pineapple in before so I thought this a little odd.

The satay had a great selection of veges stacked in the meal as well.

A tasty meal with plenty of leftovers for the following day.

Staff were friendly and as I was waiting outside, he could have just knocked on the glass window, but the staff member kindly brought my meal outside for me.

This is only a small store, just down the road from the Coles in town.

I was really excited to find sushi in Cowes and although they didn't have the huge selection I am used to in the city, they did have a good variety to choose from.

I purchased two rolls at $2.80 each. They were fresh and tasty and I would have returned the following day for lunch if we were still in town.

The store does also have a take away menu which looked delicious.
