Definitely worth a visit when making holiday plans. You need to be a bit wary of the hotel reviews as sometimes the proprietors post there own reviews (this seems to be improving). One of the most useful features is the forum where you can ask a local expert. These experts are volunteers so replies can take a while. To get the most benefit its worth putting your own experiences on the site so others can benefit

I have one treatment there, and gone a few times just for a laze in the pool. The spa is getting a tad dated, but it is right in the middle of the CBD so just the convenience is a plus. They always seem to have some sort of discount so never pay full price. Last time I was there the place need maintenance (there was water running out of a light fittting). But for the price, grab a friend and just relax. They sell McShane Hill Bath Products - so you may want to pick something up when you are there.

This pub tends to change in quality over time - sometimes good & sometimes passable. Unfortunately its now passable. Best to go on a Monday dinner when pretty much everything is $10, otherwise you can give this place a miss. The dessert menu now features prebought cakes/muffins - gone are the days of the flake sundae they used to make (yum!). Last time I went I asked for a wine list, only to be told they did not have one!

Best place to get pizza in the Hobart City Centre. Quick Service. Pizzas can be a bit undercooked if they get very busy. Has some big positives - Price is good, corkage is free, and the pizzas feature Tasmanian produce. Funky atmosphere all in all if you want cheap and tasty pizza head here!
