I went to the shop on 28/03/2020 asking about the Custom build Fish Tank from the manager (Leigh Myers), showed him the pictures of where the tank is to fit and filled up a form with the measurements as 37cm x 20.5cm x 60cm, Leigh advised that he will check on tbe price with the builder and email me the quote.
He emailed me back on 31/03 and provided the quote as:
370mm x 205mm x 600mm High
6mm Glass
Includes cover glass
$229

Then I went back on 18/04 and paid the full amount to get this product built.
Received the call on 24/04 and I went to pickup, checked the dimensions to confirm matching what I ordered that realised they added a metal support in each corner which is very unclean and amatour work that has affected the length and width up to 1cm differrent from the info I provided.
I have asked for explanation where Leigh was very ignorant, rude and making fun of myself and my friend and said "it is what you ordered" with a laughing voice. He did not take any responsibility for his mistake of not communicating the extra metal support that is popping out every corner, "it is what it is, and we cannot do anything" he said.
Everyone was shocked with his behaviour and negligence, I did not accept the product and said that he should fix it with builders to resolve where he said sure will check and get back to you.
He did not come back to me and I had to follow up every week and everytime he said yes we are working on it, sending to supplier...etc until yesterday 03/06, he got back and said we can fix the issue by building a new one which you should pay for the full cost again to do so and that this misconfigured one is yours to take.
I did not take the product since it is not fit for purpose, with dimensions provided and the picture I showed the first day and he said your house builder or whomever measured the spot had to leave some variation and laughed.
All I asked was the product:
Full Glass Custom Fish Tank with dimentions 37cm x 20.5cm x 60
He could say he cannot do it, or at least communicate the metal support added or any changes to the product or dimensions.

I will raise this with VCAT to deal with this business that does not know how to treat their valued customer who meant to shop for years to come and now not only never goes back but also will not recommend to anyone to shop from there.
