This shop is always packed with a group of coffee lovers sitting and enjoying their order on the outdoor area. It is popular for their yummy Ca Phe Sua Da and you could also try one of their freshly made smoothies such as soursop if you feel like being adventurous.

This restaurant does fast service and try their tasty fried rice noodle; it is nice that it operates late and it is affordable. This place is constantly busy with tourists, taxi drivers, police officers and so on. Service and place is ok, could be improved to keep up with the other restaurants.

I like their almond and chocolate butter rolls with slight cream; if you are a cake lover, you should try this. The sponge rolls are not too sweet and affordable. They also make birthday cakes and cookies in small gift packs, perfect for any occasions.

This shop is known for their dim sum buns; pork buns, chicken buns, you name it and they provide either hot or cold for takeaway. I like their pork buns and i always make a habit of purchasing few packs to put in the freezer for emergencies. I have tried their limited yum cha variety as well but i'd rather go to proper yum cha restaurant.

One of the longest established Vietnamese restaurants in the area where they are known for their pho, beef noodle soups. Price is quite affordable as compared to other similar restaurants offering the same dish. The restaurant is also full of tourists especially on weekend. Place looks traditional and could do with some updated decorations.

Popular for their rainbow drinks, where you can select your toppings before the staff add coconut milk and ice. They also offer fresh juices though i do not recommend it as they put too much sugar and the juice has less liquid and more of the fruits residue on the cup. Price is one of the lowest ones around the area and it is always packed with people who come all the way from Sydney to get their fix of this addictive dessert.

I found this restaurant as it was recommended by a good friend of mine who has lived in the area for years, this vege rice flour buns are so yummy and addictive; you can either buy it each or buy 10 for reduced price. All buns are made fresh on daily basis. staff is very friendly and fast.

This restaurant has just recently open and famous for their wide variation of porridge aka congee especially during this cold and windy season. They also offer a variety of other Chinese dishes such as hot pot on ceramic stone bowl or Shandong chicken. Staff was OK and during busy times, you may need to wait and/or share your table with another group.

Strategic restaurant located in the popular Canley Vale road, good place ambience. It serves modern Thai dishes at average prices. It is quite popular during night time and also offers variety of cocktails. Nothing too extraordinary but definitely a good addition of restaurant in the area.

Good service, generous portion and freshly made dessert especially the Mango and Lychee gelato; staff are friendly and helpful. They also offer take home packs for those who live far away from Newtown like myself.
