Our beloved pizza shop close to us closed and so we trauwled the net for a replacement. We saw these guys were close and seemed to have good reviews, so we tried it out tonight. Must say, their food is actually pretty good! They only have hot salami, not mild, but I tried it and it's not actually that hot which is good, and their garlic bread is really nice. First time in ages I've eaten half a large pizza and three slices of garlic bread - and I'm a girl!

So I met these guys for a 3.5 hr makeup workshop using a Scoopon type deal. They were very informative, no bullshit, very funny, and genuine people. They have a lot of tricks and know-how up there sleeve, and for someone like me who knows nothing about beauty, it was good to be told all the marketing crap that we are sold and that you don't need half of what you buy! I'm throwing stuff out!!! :)

I used to go to this place quite a bit once we found it randomly one day, but it has gone very downhill over the past six months. I'm not sure if there has been a change in management or anything, but something has changed and the food isn't anywhere near as nice anymore, especially the burgers. We have stopped going there now and are looking for a replacement fish and chip shop.

I went to this place with a Scoopon, and read some Urban Spoon reviews on it. They all claimed it was great and authentic food. When we walked up, expecting to see a nice restaurant place, we started to get worried when it was a small takeaway food shop looking place - like the cheap cafe lunch place with a few tables and chairs in them in the city. We sat down, waited for our food to come and the heavens opened! The first bite of my chicken satay skewer was so good, and my Massaman Curry when it came out - I near passed out it was so good! I'm no food connoisseur, but we have been back since, and I keep talking about it. Do yourself a favour - look past that it doesn't look like a great venue, and just eat the food!

This place is such a cute little salon, and the owner Teresa is so lovely! They can do anything - waxing, IPL laser, facials, tinting, spray tans and makeup. I've probably forgotten heaps of other things. Anyway, if you get Teresa, she's a real treat, and so hilarious!

I've been dancing with these guys for maybe 3 years now, and they are lovely. Very knowledgeable, happy to muck around, have a laugh and a coffee ... but if you want to get serious, they will train you like a work-horse. They also have other smaller venues like RSL's and stuff so if you don't wanna go to a studio with huge mirrors, you don't have to. They also have latin nights and other themed events, like the Halloween event every year - they go all out. If you want to burn the kids energy on the weekend, they run a kids disco now, and if you want someone to knit with, there is now a little group for that too.

This review is for Herzog Patisserie Bakery, Kew East VIC

Not at all local to the area, I came up to cover a shift for someone in a store nearby. Went looking for something to eat and Herzog looked quite nice. The lady was nice to me, and I made a normal lunchy order without much enthusiasm - I was butt tired and sore and grumpy. Walked out with two party pies, water and a sweet.

OMG! Apple and custard tart all the way -it was so amazing! The pastry was nice, the custard was set and the apples in the bottom ... it was like an apple pie with custard top. So good!!!!! Cannot rave enough!

This review is for Plaza Ballroom, Melbourne VIC

I recently went into the Plaza Ballroom for a christmas party, and the place is incredible! From what I've heard, it's on the more pricey side of things, but wow - it's worth the money! The chandeliers in there, the wall art, the way they dress the place ... it's all very stunning. There are a couple small flights of stairs to go down to get inside, and a cloak room before you enter the ballroom. It is fully carpeted, but they can put down a hard floor for you. I spent half my dinner imagining my wedding here! The price as far as I've heard, includes everything - catering, dressing etc. The food we had was master chef type stuff, and extremely well presented. There are curtains hanging everywhere, and you feel like you are on a private planet - just you and your party. Fits loads of people too - it's massive!

This review is for Regent Theatre, Melbourne VIC

Every time I go to this theatre, it blows me away. Such an old ornate and beautiful building, kept in it's original state - or as close as possible after fires etc. The box office are very helpful and very knowledgeable about the shows they have on.

This review is for Ticketek Head Office Agency, Melbourne VIC

I've been to many Ticketek outlets, and this is the best one for information and knowing the product. Most shopping centre outlets etc have someone behind the counter who know how to use the system, and that's it. The girls here are very experienced, and have been going to and selling these events for years. It can get very busy during Australian Open time, but they do get through the queue quickly and efficiently - considering the difficult people I've seen them deal with!
