This review is for Marathon Electrical, Sale VIC

We use the team from Marathon Electrical on a regular basis for tasks that require an electrician at work and some of the community groups I am involved with. I have always found them prompt, efficient, to provide a high standard of work quality and provide outstanding customer service. In the last year, we would have dealt with them on more then 10 occasions and never once had a problem with any of their staff nor with the quality of workmanship. I haven't had any need to use them at home recently however in the past they have been equally great with their home services too. I can honestly say, I would recommend them to anyone looking for a electrician in the sale area.

This review is for Cafe 3847 & Co, Rosedale VIC

I don't know if there is a way to describe this cafe, the only thing that comes to mind is to describe it as simply, "Okay". The coffee was, Okay. The food was, Okay. The service was, Okay. Nothing about this place really shone for me. I can't honestly say anything made me feel impressed, it was satisfactory. The prices are about what I would expect for a cafe of this style, however, I rated the value lower because for that money, I expect about 'okay' quality.

Run by the same people as the Tinamba Hotel, they have managed to convert the amazing food quality from the hotel into a cafe right under the clock tower in Sale, the food is high in quality, reasonable sized meals, however they are on the pricier end of the market. Their coffee is also one of the best in sale.

This review is for RewardsCentral, St Leonards NSW

For me, someone who does a decent amount of shopping online the reward central program is great. A lot of the online shops that I regularly purchase from are reward central partners and as such I build a good number of points relatively quickly, It is also a great way to find new online shops for gifts or just for things you don't often buy. All their partners are listed in easy to find categories and you can also limit by payment options (i.e, only with paypal or only with BPAY)... If like me you do a bit of online shopping it is quick and easy to build points.

This review is for Harvey Norman Sale, Sale VIC

We purchased a computer from Harvey Norman Sale and it was a lemon, we had issues from day one, we attempted to return it the following day and were refused in conflict with their legal requirements, after a phone call to consumer affairs (while standing in the shop) they exchanged the item, the replacement was better, we didn't any issues until just over 12 months later, however we had taken the extended warrantee and again we had to fight them to meet their requirements, we ended up succeeding and all was resolved but I just don't trust them, their service isn't that good anyway, and they are over priced, every time I have priced anything they come out on the bottom (e.g. Yesterday was helping a friend look for a new laptop, their 'amazing deal' they offered was still $142 MORE then the ticket price at dick smith...).

This review is for MightyApe.com.au, Sydney NSW

Mighty ape is one of my favourite online department stores, they have an amazing range and almost always amazing prices... Many of their products are at rates that are significantly less then their 'bricks-and-mortar' counterparts. I have only had issues with a transaction once but one email to their support team had a response sent to me within mere hours. Highly recommended, any time I need books, movies, games or the like, it is my first and often my last stop.

This review is for Royal Exchange Hotel, Traralgon VIC

We have been here in the past but last week, a friend was down from Melbourne and due to the perviously good experiences we suggested that it would be a fairly safe bet... this was far from true... Out of the two entrees and four main meals we ordered the only thing that was even really edible was the bruschetta, My chicken was dry and over cooked, the roast was reheated in the microwave and had become dry, the 'medium rare' steak was charcoal, the lamb was chewy and just bland... We were really disappointed about the food, but even more disappointed at the response from staff about quality issues, they bluntly brushed our complaints aside. This is the first and last time I will have an issue there because I will not be returning, they have lost our family as customers.

This review is for Gippsland Palace Asian Restaurant, Sale VIC

verified email - 19 May 2013

I have been to the Palace a couple of times with friends but the last time was really good. The service is always good, the food this time was amazing, but is always above expected (at least as far as asian food goes in Gippsland). The prices, compared to the meal size makes it a little less outstanding on the value side but it is about what most places charge... Over all it is consistant with the food quality, and if you get one of the good servers then the service is also good. Well worth a try, but be warned, they are not overly fast, so I recommend doing it when you are not in a hurry.

This review is for T2 Tea, Chadstone VIC

verified email - 18 May 2013

The team at T2 chadstone are an amazing asset to the T2 brand, they are all amazingly helpful and knowledgable, they are always willing to help with suggestions, want to try something new they can and will help. This store has an amazing range, a massive amount of teas, tea pots, tea cups, and just any accessory you could need. T2 is on the expensive side however the product quality means that personally I find it fairly good value, plus with the amazing service it just makes you want to come back.

This review is for Youi Insurance, Brisbane QLD

verified email - 18 May 2013

The good old say, "You get what you pay for", really applies in the case of insurance. We moved our home insurance to Youi from AAMI after receiving a quote from the Youi consultant that provided much greater coverage at a significantly lower price (approximately $500), we were really happy, I had read through their policy booklets and asked for additional details before we signed up for the policy, however when we needed to make a claim the things that were promised would be covered were not going to be covered, we had to fight to get anywhere and it wasn't until after we told them to shove it that someone listened to what we were saying and listened to the original voice recording and then admitted that we were correct but STILL would not resolve our issues, and we had to go through to the complaints department and it wasn't until we reached the point where I started talking about contacting the Insurance Council for advice that they dealt with our issues, we changed, our new provider is slightly more, but the service was amazing, and the quality is there... It really was just too good to be true
