Stopped in at Perasma a couple of times now and have not been disappointed yet, with the fast friendly well-co-ordinated service and great tasting coffee. For those of you who like a glass of water with your coffee they have even got that covered with their drive thru service giving you a free bottle of water with each coffee. A great stop to get out of the built up traffic on Warrigal Road in the morning peak.

We came for the Groupon breakfast voucher mid-week, mid-morning so not surprisingly the place wasn’t packed but the service was fantastic and genuinely friendly.

The coffee was great and we opted for one of the Specials’ Spanish style Scrambled Eggs & the Grilled Eggs with Pork Sausage & Pumpkin, Corn, and Haloumi frittatas. Both dishes were large and cooked to perfection. The look of the Pork sausage was a little pale and plain but was jam packed full of flavour. Not to mention the Scrambled eggs special came with a WHOLE Chorizo sausage – fantastic value special if just dining without the voucher. We’ll have to go back on a weekend and see how it all stacks up with weekend crowds.

We called ahead and made a booking for 1pm Yum Cha on Sunday and when we arrived were glad we did, very busy for a relatively small place but we were greeted straight away and taken to our table. Shortly after the Yum Cha offerings started to flow via waiters & trays rather than the usual trolleys. We loved the food including Wasabi Prawns, various dumplings and my favourite of steamed pork buns. Staff were friendly, efficient and professional, we took our time eating and didn’t feel rushed even though the restaurant was busy. Hidden gem right in front of our faces – we will be back!

We dined at Roti Boti on Friday night and were glad we made a booking as shortly after arriving the place filled up. Service to get our menus was a little slow but with all the walk-ins we could at least see why.
Service was friendly and the food was great, including some of the slightly different than normal curries on offer elsewhere; dishes like our Kadhai Chicken & Goat Saagwaala. I see what another reviewer mentioned on slightly small dish sizes when sharing, but we had enough for our table.
Towards the end of the night the supervisor/manager came around to ask how our night & the food had been and seemed genuinely interested in our comments which was a nice little touch.

We had an issue with our back fridge/freezer and was in no rush to fix it so i email Geoff through the WOMO website thinking I'd get a response in a few days or so. The next morning had a text from him and with only giving him the brand and approx. age of the fridge he had already diagnosed the problem, quoted for the repair, had the part in stock and came out that same day to fix it!

We cannot say enough good things about Jamie-Lee & Candice, from their friendly service, genuine love of all the dogs they see and accommodating nature when trying to squeeze a cut in at late notice. Our two (Bobby & Barney) love going for their grooming and see the girls every time. They are also fantastic value for money.

This review is for Bombay Club Indian Restaurant, Ormond VIC

verified email - 06 Aug 2014

We recently ate at the Bombay Club with friends for the second time in a couple of months and have noticed some minor grievances creeping in.

A few months ago it was the first time eating in at the new location a few doors down and we're talked into ordering an extra entree of their new Tandoori Mushroom dish (from the male manager/owner?). Unfortunately this disappointed us all, the mushrooms were tiny and nowhere near the price put on the dish. Then again on this recent visit he was still pushing this dish hard before finally accepting our decision not to go for this again. Similarly we ordered some Pappadums and mixed pickles to go with these and once again were disappointed with the tiny serving portion of the pickles.

The next issue which we really struggled to comprehend was being charged $14 for a shared plate of plain rice! After ordering a few dishes for the 4 of us to share we just said enough rice for us to share. We received the standard plate of rice (as you would in many Chinese, Indian, Thai restaurants) and all seemed well until we paid the bill and saw what they had charged us for rice; $14!! The amount of rice on the shared plate couldn't have been much more than a standard large takeaway rice (currently priced at $5) so I am astonished at this mark up in price.

Now the quality of the food and flavours in the meals have been fantastic since we have been coming here after moving into the area some 5 years ago. We have mainly ordered take away from here during those years and have not been disappointed, but sadly I think we will now only remain as takeaway customers...

Four of us went to Zikrayat Lebanese Cuisine last night for a Groupon deal and we could not be happier with the restaurant, the food, the service and the company!
The dips and bread starters set the mood for a great night and the Baba Ghanouj had an amazing smokiness throughout, then we just loved the chicken wings. All the food was cooked perfectly and flavoursome throughout. Then Rami briefly sat down with us to have a friendly chat and proved himself the perfect host from beginning to end.

Just popped in here today as noticed driving past the other day and whilst the shop didn't carry a huge range of stock it more than made up for it with friendly, genuine and very helpful service! I was just window shopping for a new wetsuit and Luke offered great advice and knowledge without being pushy for a sale. I wasn't ready to buy but he had offered a great discount of the retail price and said come back anytime to talk more. He mentioned he does surfing lessons and i was very tempted as i could see how good he would be as a positive coach!

We came here for breakfast on the weekend and found a spot for two in the window and looked at around at the mildly quirky signs and decorations in the cafe and ordered the bacon and eggs (for me) and Eggs Benedict for my wife. As we ordered we were warned about the strength of their coffees so chose medium strength and were very happy. My eggs and bacon arrived fairly quickly but then we had to wait until half way through my breakfast before the Benedict arrived (yes my wife told me to start eating!). Not sure if they are bad with their timings or perhaps they just made a mistake with the first round of poached eggs for the Benedict?

The food was good but wasn't overly creative, come here for strong coffee!
