We stayed here on our wedding night. It was fine, but i felt the decor was a little drab for the price. Nice sized rooms, the spa bath was nice. I think with a bit of renovation it could be awesome.

I am utterly sick of Chinese food so a Chinese restaurant has to be really good to impress me. The Joy Kitchen is really good. Everything we had was great. Not the cheapest around but this is no dodgy take away place. The location is excellent for parking and for the fact that it's near the harbour.

Great venue, excellent lighting (fully adjustable). Acoustics average (but I don't expect much from function centres). Good little bar area coming off the well equipped kitchen (large fridge, oven and awesome dishwasher). The hired staff were lazy emo types that we were forced to hire, and they seemed to disappear during the night). A bit pricier that some other places but has all the cutlery you will ever need). Plenty of chairs and tables and the staff set them up for you.
Approximate cost: $600
They were our real estate agents when we bought our house a year and a half ago, I thought they did a good job. They were good go betweens between us and the sellers. I have no basis for comparison though, they are the only real estate agents I have dealt with for selling a house.
I enjoyed coming here, the food is home-made-y and kind of what you expect from a winery type setup (I mean that in a good way). Some nice wines there (limited selection though). Although I suspect that the chair I sat on cost less than the meal I paid for. You get the idea about the decor.
Approximate cost: $28
I had a really good remedial massage from Luke at Bodyworks - he clearly knows what he is doing. He's not one of these 'bruise 'em' types - very knowledgeable and competent. Not the cheapest, but you have to pay for quality.
Approximate cost: $70
I went here a while ago, but I remember the food being very good Italian for a very good price in a restaurant that looks like it would cost you twice as much. Right next to a great bottleshop too. Go, Gucce!
Approximate cost: $25
A cool place, but as is the case with many tre chic cafes, the focus is more on the decor looking alternative than the service. But still, plenty of atmosphere. Go there to impress your lefty rock band art school mates.
One of the most comprehensive DVD libraries in Perth, and on their website you can even search what titles they have in stock. The service is OK, but they're a little I'm-so-alternative-and-cool.
A great selection of classic sneakers, including loads of Pumps (my fave). Prices are comparable to anywhere else. I was a little disappointed that there weren't more Air Jordans on sale, just one pair of Jordan 1s. But loads of Air Max's to make up for it (though it's restricted to 1s and 90s).
Approximate cost: $180
