I have my bike serviced here recently and they did an EXCELLENT job and explained everything they did to my bike. They are very knowledgeable and know thier product inside out. Their opening hours are also good as I can drop off/pick up my bike after work. They also stock the brand of bike I ride (Trek).

I didn't have a great experience here. The man who served me both times didn't seem very interested. I went to get a bike service and he promised my bike would be ready first thing monday morning. I turned up first thing, and had to wait half an hour as he was late. And then, he had forgotten to service my bike. I had to wait another day and when I did get my bike back, it didn't seem like it had been serviced very well. I've also gone in to query my brakes and he fiddled around with them but did not fix the problem.

It's a chicken shop from the 70's. They have fresh salads but the salads are mostly mayonnaise with a side of vegies. Last time I went there were a few grey peas floating in the water in the bain marie, and that put me off ordering anything. It was very depressing. They really need to smarten up their act and make some more modern and fresh food.

A cute little opshop, with lots of random junk to sift through. They always have a few crocheted knee rugs in the window, and lots of knick knacks. Clothes wise, it's slim pickings but there is an occasional good find. I've picked up a 70's leather jacket for $20 and a pair of 1950's shoes in perfect condition for $5. The shop is sectioned up into little rooms so it's like a little treasure hunt. Make sure you're not in a rush as the staff are very talkative :)

Turtle bean... you've changed, man... I used to be a very loyal customer of this cafe until they changed owners. They used to serve very tasty lunches with excellent cuts of meat, but since then their menu has been cut down considerably and replaced with boring stuff like foccacias. It used to be a very special place and now it's just an standard cafe.

A great pharmacy. It's well it, well laid out and they have nice gifts and cosmetics. The pharmacy area is very nice and clean. The pharmacist is VERY helpful... I got about a 10 minute talking to when getting a new prescription filled! It's also open until 9pm and there is plently of parking out the back next to Safeway.

This place is like stepping into the past. I'm pretty sure it's kept in business by some of the more senior residents of the area, because it has the post office in it and they can pay their bills over the counter... ever... so.... slowly. It and the post office are open until 7pm weeknights, which is brilliant for people like me who work 9-5. The post office is also the ONLY place to withdraw cash in Hughesdale. One of the workers at the PO is the most deadpan person I have ever encountered, she always cracks me up. She must LOVE her job.

It's a take-away fish and chips place. The chips are fairly good. The calamari rings are better than most and the fish souvlaki is alright but can get a bit wet. They have deals and you can get a free can of coke for $x, free prawn crackers, etc.

This review is for Thanasis Greek Tavern, Hughesdale VIC

We ordered the meat platter for 3 and it was just... meat (and chips). SO MUCH MEAT. I think we managed to eat half. It's a standard Greek restaurant. I think they make most of their business from functions as it's not really the nicest place to dine and a small group.
