Galaxy is one of the best book stores in the city if your looking for a huge range of fantasy, sci-fi or horror books and dvds. The staff are helpful to the point of looking online for a book for you that they can't get but you can get elsewhere! The free monthly newsletter is available just outside the shop front and is great for keeping up with new releases.

Kinokuniya is ideally located in the heart of Sydney above the Victoria Galleries. It stocks a huge selection of books, novels, DVD, comic trade paperbacks, as well as magazines from Japan. The staff are helpful and have no problem ordering books they may not have in stock.

The staff remember their customers names and are always friendly. The shop is well lit and clean. Comics come in regularly on Thursday unless their is a public holiday in the US. Staff are very knowledgeable of their products.
