While Mary is very kind and pleasant, her lack of fundamental dentistry is dangerous. I had been going to her for some time, and having constant issues with my teeth. Her solution was to put small fillings or replace the broken fillings. Never solved the actual issue, which going to a new dentist has uncovered. 4 teeth with decay, only one that Mary diagnosed and placed a small, jagged filling. That molar had so much decay, I most likely am looking at RCT. Having pain issues now because of it, and my tolerance for pain is so low. Very sad about this. As for the issues, I was told to just crown all my teeth, this Mary said, was the best option. She did say get a second opinion, which my amazing and trusted GP recommended one, and she's great. This new dentist said we need to adjust my bite, by building up my back teeth and crowning only the front top 4, far less than Mary's and tackling the root cause of the issue, no pun intended. This new one is taking a proactive approach, to restore my bite, and teeth bit by bit with Botox to help the extreme Bruxism (which I concur with Mary when she diagnosed this, it's just that she never said or advised about sorting it out) .

So while Mary is a kind person, the lack of the knowledge needed to deal with more complex issues was frustrating. If Mary was unable to help, other than fix broken and chipped teeth and filing after bad filling, she could have referred me to a specialist or more knowledgeable dentist, saving me a lot of pain and saving one of my molars.
