Wonderful! After two years of searching for a decent hairdresser, I have finally found one. I will be going back again and again. They were so friendly AND professional over the phone and even better in person. My hair is very fine and very straight so shows every mistake, I can't find one mistake now, I' over the moon!!
The salon is lovely and has a great atmosphere. Modern, stylish, sophisticated yet warm and friendly.
Michael and Toni for your cut and colour, brilliant.

Very disappointing. I picked up a leaflet from outside the salon and was very impressed so I booked a cut and colour. The staff were very friendly and listened to what I wanted and gave me advice, however, didn't really deliver. The girl had only been there 1 month and was travelling for a year, this isn't a bad thing but it's not great if you're trying to find a regular hairdresser. I explained that I need a cut that I can dry myself and that I didn't want it too short or to show scissor cuts (I am a little fussy, I know) and she assurred me it would be fine. Well, it's very short, I can't tie it back, it's uneven and you can see every single scissor cut, so much so that it looks like a hair cut I gave my sister when we were 5. It's a real shame as I'm really struggling to find a good hairdresser, someone who can cut very fine, dead straight hair :(

When I first moved to Port Melbourne I decided to give Toni & Guy a go as I've always used them in the UK, however, just like the UK T&G seem to rely on their name now rather than being good hairdressers. It's not just the quality of the cut and colour (which was very disappointing) but the quality of their customer service. The receptionists are always very friendly but the stylist or colourists seem to be in a rush. The guy cutting my hair didn't even see it before it was washed (I should have spoken up then, I know) and the colour wasn't what I wanted at all. The girl washing my hair kept banging the shower nozzle on the sink or on my head and splashed water over my face constantly. I won't be going back.

Approximate cost: $300

I tried Rokk Ebony a few months ago for a cut and colour. The colour was FANTASTIC. Anna listened to what I wanted and advised me on what she thought would work and it did I loved it. Another girl did my cut and it wasn't really what I wanted, even though we discussed it before-hand. As I loved the colour and Anna so much (friendly, professional, listened to what I wanted etc) I decided to go back. However, they messed up my appointment, I wasn't on their computer even though I gave them the times for my cut and colour (and there was an appointment for each but not with my name).
I guess it's not a massive thing and mistakes do happen but it was very disappointing.

Approximate cost: $200
