I hired a Karaoke/ Jukebox machine for my Dad's birthday. I found these guys online. There website makes them seem a bit dodgy but it was great. I booked with only a days notice. They dropped the machine off on Saturday and picked it up the next day after the party. It was a brilliant machine. Great music selection. The machine is easy to use. It came with 3 mica and everyone got a turn. I can not stress enough that the music selection is brilliant, with songs from oldies o top 40. Everyone used the machine from my young nieces to the oldies. We will definitely be hiring this again, next time we have a party.

It's hard to review this as just one business. I like the casino because there is so much going on here.
We stayed in the hotel and it was nice. Good view, and beautiful infinity pool. Also you can order food at the poolside bar, or room service. Ok, I did both. Both were very good. Oh, and they have free wi-fi in the rooms.
For drinking, I've always enjoyed Sandbar, because it has a gorgeous view, and turns into a busy club on the weekends.
The restaurants are also good. The Sunsets bar has reasonably priced buffets. The food is good with a big variety of seafood, meat and even drinks and desserts.
The Chinese Dragon Court is also good. A bit pricey, but it is also very fancy. With great service and nice food.
The new section out the back has another restaurant- Cove. I don't really like this one. I think it is extremely overpriced for what you get. The view is of their new swimming pool and fake beach. Which I think is weird, because the real ocean is so much more beautiful. Also we ordered a really bad wine there. And I think the portions are too small.

Lizards is a great place to eat or just sit and drink. The whole bar/restaurant is outside, in true Darwin fashion. They have great meals deals on different days of the week- like schnitzel and base spirit for$12.50 on Thursdays. The food is good with reasonable portions. They also have live music on Thursdays and the weekend. This is a good place to eat and drink.

This review is for Go Sushi, Darwin NT

The sushi here is good. The problem is it is so expensive that I never want to go. There is a huge sushi train in the middle with an open air kitchen where you can see them making the sushi. The sushi is good, but the plates are small so you will need to have a few. The taste was fresh and authentic. Great beers and japanese liquor on offer too. The are tables around the edge if you want to order of the menu.

There's very few places in Darwin that I continue to go back to, but Oishi Ya is one of them.
The food is very authentic Japanese food.
They have all the good fried stuff, like Donburi, Katsu-don, Katsu-curry and tako-yaki. Great service too. The food is very fast to come out. They also have all the Japanese beers and soft drinks. Overall a good experience, and a reasonably priced meal. Only down side is that they share the Mitchell Centre toilet.

approx. cost: DonBuri $14, Bento $18

This review is for Laksa House, STUART PARK NT

Sometimes you go to a place and it is just so authentic. Well Laksa House, Stuart Park is one of those places. The place looks like you could be anywhere in Asia. I have only had the Laksa, so I can't attest to the charcoal chicken. The laksa is amazing- Spicy and delicious. It is cheap and very, very good. The seafood laksa comes with a lot of seafood. Always bring cash as they don't accept card.

I think the Cas Club is one of the best places to eat in Darwin. It is cheap (by local standard) and always good. The menu is very extensive. Check out the specials board (there is a lot on it) and the ribs are amazing. The Cas Club is consistently good for eating, and cheap for drinks too. As it is a bistro, you have to order at the counter and bar, get your own cutlery and salad bar etc. They also do good specials were kids eat free, i am not sure on the conditions though. You don't have to be a member to go, but it is very cheap to join so it's worth your while.

Ate here last night. The food is good. The dessert was amazing. The sangria left a bad taste in my mouth though, and a bad experience for me. It was $40 a jug, and when we complained to the waitress, she said they were playing around with recipe. So basically they charge $40 a jug for a drink they don't know how to make. It tasted like watered down cheap wine- very vinegary and tart. She said they put white wine and red wine in it..... and before tried rum and tequila. I didn't think Sangria was hard to make. Also white wine doesn't agree with me, so it would've been nice for them to write that on the menu. Especially since it is not a standard ingredient. The restaurant is huge. I guess they are expecting a big crowd. The burritos come as a single wrap cut in two. There are no side salads or rice with it. But tasted good. All in all, if you are in the mood for Mexican in Darwin this is probably your best option. Just don't order Sangria, and expect the standard (below standard) Darwin service.

Expensive for dinner. The wine menu is not very good- not a good variety. The view is of the swimming pool in the new resort. Which is ok- i guess. The beautiful ocean next door is better though! The portions are very small for the price you pay. After paying over $100 for dinner, we were still hungry. Not one of SkyCity's best dining options

Had a great banquet here. The food was great and got to taste a variety of dishes. Love the cocktails! Not too pricey for Darwin. In a great location. I love the decor. Looks nothing like you would expect from the outside. They have live music Tuesday and Thursday- it's worth visiting just for a cocktail.
