Staying in one of these villas was such a treat for me. Stayed in Water and was very impressed with the level of attention put in to ensuring every comfort imaginable was there.

Loved the open fire, decadent spa, beautiful bedroom, luxury bathroom and livable kitchen, there was an outside setting as well which added to the peacefulness (although there were a few other houses visible).

Kudos to Kudos - they have it right! Highly recommend

I consider Absynthe to be highly over-rated. Chose to dine a-la-carte instead of the degustation menu.

It was very confusing and hard to find out what was on offer. Example: I asked what was available for desert only to be told we hadn't got to that yet!

Was made to feel like an impudent child at every turn.

The manager seemed to hold a tight grip over service and customer experience which is fine if customers want that kind of experience. It made me feel like a piece of cattle being manipulated to go in a certain direction.

Cannot remember exactly what I ate but I was really disappointed after building myself up for dining here.

Give it a try - but don't expect too much from the experience.

I recommend this restaurant for the Breakfast buffet. Wonderful and friendly service..the table staff had a latte in my hands almost as soon as we were seated.

There is something for everyone here, don't be shy to have the counter attends cook your eggs freshly just the way you like them.

Enjoyed the little parfait selections of yoghurt with muesli and poached fruit. Loved that there was a cold cuts and salad selection available.

Go hungry and linger over your meal it is an enjoyable start to the day.

Watched this restaurant as they glided skillfully through services (breakfast, lunch and dinner) almost seamlessly. Highly recommended - a classy act in a lovely peaceful atmosphere.

Cheerful family bistro. This is a popular place especially for the specials meals.

Be prepared to que to order and sit back and relax inside or out - there always seems to be good tables.

There is a friendly and uplifting vibe in this place and the staff are patient and efficient. If you are with a group, make sure you order together to avoid plates coming out with bad timing.

For the money the food is satisfying and good value.

Recommended for the budget conscious and definitely those dining with kids.

The grand old lady lives on. A wonderful heritage hotel that has a long history for customer care. I have memories of the wonderful housekeeper who knew just how each return guest liked their breakfast eggs cooked and served them lovingly with egg cosies on.

Porters who were well trained, friendly and professional welcomed you as you arrived, whisking the car away and getting your bags to the room before you could even check in.

Reservations managers who had a keen eye for special occasions and honeymooning guests upgrading as much as possible to surprise suites with little extras.

Ah yes, The Windsor lived up to their reputation for service in those days (before being taken over by International chain).

I have lost some of my enthusiasm for staying here in the last few years due to the manner of they way they deal with potential bookings on the phone. (Have been dealt with quite rudely on a number of occasions and this front end experience is certainly one that could taint first impressions.)

Standard rooms can be small, if you are staying make the most of the experience by getting the best room you can, enjoy the lounge areas, experience room service etc.

The location is great - top end of Collins opposite parliament house and the beautiful treasury gardens (walks, jogs, picnic, relax).

It is a short walk to all the culture, shopping and famous restaurants of Melbourne. You will also find economical dining choices close by.

After all that I still recommend The Hotel Windsor. Young ones can experience a taste of elegance and the service of days gone by. Many leisure, executive and luxury travellers will feel at home here.

This review is for Australia Zoo, Beerwah QLD

A zoo trip is always what you make it!

I was expecting for Australia Zoo to be boring, commercial and over the top.

I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed my day a lot. I loved the surroundings and lushness of the gardens and grounds. Enjoyed the main event show and was fascinated by the birds part - absolutely beautiful!

Crocodile part was interesting and in amongst the "showmanship" it was educational and "real" enough. Best part was watching the support people keeping their eyes on everything ready to help avoid any incidents with the crocs and usher the "actors" to safety. Made it all more believable and showed the respect and care one must have with "wild" animals.

The tigers display was fascinating and beautiful and again you could see the respect the keepers had of these majestic beasts.

Plan your time so you get to be in the places you want to be on time. Avoid the temptation to purchase the touristy type stuffed toys, but if you do - remember money hopefully ends up helping the animal protection efforts made for endangered and rare species.

Only disappointment was "feed the elephant" as children qued up for such a brief encounter - far more enjoyed seeing the elephants parade around the arena later.

This review is for The Cuckoo Restaurant, Olinda VIC

Going to the Cuckoo in Olinda is a trip down memory lane for me. It is more the experience of the place I love than anything else. I remember the times we would go with my Mum for celebrations. It's a comfort to me, just that it is still there after all these years.

I love smorgasbords, not because you can eat as much as you want but so I can try small bits with a wide variety. The Cuckoo doesn't disappoint and has a lovely spread with a good balance of hearty European offerings, salads and condiments.

I hardly every have room left to have their famous pancakes. When I take friends or family here every one has a good time and enjoys the different atmosphere. Even the teens enjoy the music and yodelers (after they figure it's just a bit of fun & nobody is looking).

Be aware this is a high tourist zone. If you go on popular nights, book ahead, park early and then just enjoy the sometimes raucous evening.

Lunches can be busy as well as they have a lot of group functions at times.

Well worth your time - enjoy what they offer. Combine your trip with a huge range of interesting attractions in the Dandenong Mountains. It is a beautiful area, take time to enjoy a walk in the fern laden forests.

Had a very mixed up time having dinner here. It wasn't a good experience at all.

Wait person was friendly enough, but was totally inexperienced. It took forever to clarify what was being offered for us to actually eat. We wanted to know if their "special of the day" board menu was available and how to go about ordering things.

Finally, we were given a specials menu to make a selection from (why were not given this when seated, I have no idea) and we placed our order - two different entrees and two main meals the same and a kids meal for the child.

We settled in ordered drinks, got them, drank them, waited a long time for entree got them ate them (absolutely the worst bruschetta I have ever had with soggy wet bread).

Then we were told that the items we had ordered as mains were NOT available!

If we had known this in the beginning we would have just ordered off the main menu - no problems.

There were no other meals on the "specials" list we wanted so we asked if we could just choose something from the main menu and pay the difference if it cost more than the specials price.

After ages more waiting we were finally told yes, that will be fine.

We ordered again, waited again, ate the main meal.

At payment time, we were not billed at the specials price as promised, but for the full price of everything (even the soggy bruschetta!)

We pointed out that this was not right, so off we went again into another long wait. They must have spoken to someone in authority because the end result was that the meals would not be at the special price.

We had a small baby and a 6 year old with us and it wasn't easy to deal with all the waiting. The whole unsatisfactory experience lasted about 2-3 hours!

This was supposed to be a special treat for my daughter and we had had such a miserable time, we had politely waited and waited and pointed out the problem with the bill. I just paid and off we went, never to return.

A business that does not take responsibility for fulfilling what their waitstaff has advised the customer or who does not see that customers are a) efficiently looked after & b) satisfied, should make immediate restitution or adequate compensation for the deficiencies in their service.

Especially in a competitive area such as Mooloolaba where, maybe they can get away with things like this in the busy season, but in the quiet times surely are wanting to win the locals' business?

First and last time for me and while I feel sorry for the new waitstaff I have no patience for the people she answered to.

To add insult to injury the child did not even receive their promised icecream - but by this time they were so fractious they didn't even notice.

An authentic Lebanese restaurant!

We went as a group and enjoyed a banquet, there was more food than we could all eat. More if we wanted it, wait staff very responsive and alert to the tables needs.

My absolute hands down favourite dish at this restaurant is their felafel! The most yummy, moist morsels to be enjoyed with the dips that come with the banquet entrees.

I want them NOW!

The most profound part of the whole evening for me was the realisation that this is a restaurant that believes in itself.

Over the years it has been consistent and formed a unique niche in Richmond that attracts newcomers and repeat customers alike.

Congratulations to the owners, managers, staff & belly dancers for making your restaurant one I want to come back to :)

My mouth is just watering thinking about eating here again.

Love Hahndorf, you have to drink schnapps, eat sausage, choose mustards and relish variety.

Great people, great service - can spend a few hours here before taking a wander in the historic German township and continue on with the Adelaide Hills / Barossa Valley wine trails...

Recommended - it is epic!
