I needed signwriting done on my van for my business. I found Diverse Sign online and likes their work. They worked with me to fit my budget and based on PDF files from my business cards and a mockup from my designer, did a great job advertising my business on my van. It is far more than just my name on the door, the whole van is very eye catching.
I get lots of complements from it and it has paid for itself 5 times over in the first 12 months.
I will definitely be using them again, perhaps as I expand to a fleet of vans.....here's hoping.

Bought a cheap Bunnings split system and needed it installed. Michael came around on time, did the job very quickly and even came back a few days later to neaten up the install of our other split system that had been in for 5 years and didnt charge any extra, even when I offered him more money.

Will happily call him again if needed.

Update 2013: I just got Michael back to replace an old AC in the living room and put a new one in my new home office. His service and work is still excellent, happy to give him another plug and two thumbs up.

These guys have no idea about service and dont care. I value my time too highly to use them any more unless I happen to be driving past, I certainly wont be using them any more deliberately since going into business for myself and needing parts quickly and reliably.

They have some good stock but also a lot of very cheap rubbish so make sure you specify exactly what you want. They often have no stock of items that are on their online price list.

I used to love this place, the pricing was the best, open weekends and always had stock which made up for their long queues and poor service.

Now I have had enough. After jumping through their hoops for months to gain dealer pricing after going into business for myself (I spent $15K through them in a couple of months), it turns out that dealer pricing is not worth it in any way (not even enough to cover the 2% credit card surcharge) and their support on warranty items is even worse. I expected better treatment of customers with "dealer" status . I can waste over an hour in there buying a couple of things, adding travel time and it is not worth my while. If my clients want to use them, they can wait in the queue, I have better things to do with my time.

If you can find it, it is the best coffee in the CBD (made with Coffee Supreme South Blend). Under the Manchester Unity building, face the copper lift doors, turn left and look for two men in a cupboard. Have been a coffee regular for a few months now.

The kebabs here are fantastic, definitely the best kebab I have had in the CBD. I regularly have a chicken kebab with the lot (lettuce, tomato, onion and tabbouleh) with extra meat and added cheese with garlic and chilli sauces. Taste is fantastic. I love how they toast the whole made kebab in a sandwich press before bagging it up. Take some extra paper napkins though, they can be juicy so avoid white shirts as well. Service is good, sometimes a bit chaotic during the lunch rush.

One of the best meals I have had in my life.

I was given a night at the Lakehouse with dinner for two as a Christmas bonus at work and it was sensational. The dessert sampler is the best idea ever, no need to pick and choose what you want, just try it all!

I don't know if I could justify the price if I had to foot the bill but for a special weekend away and a highly memorable meal, this is just the ticket.

I am a regular here and love the prawn and pork rice paper rolls. Get in early if you dont want to queue but the throughput is high so you wont wait long. Dont organise a group dinner, they discourage people hanging around once you have eaten. Lightning service, cheap, straight to the point.

Think of this as a feeding station, not a restaurant. You will sit shoulder to shoulder with complete strangers along the laminex benches. You can be in and out in 20 mins. Noisy and fun.

I have never had a worse case of food poisoning than I got last time I ate at Hawthorn Sushi Sushi. The place smelt funny and if I was not running late for Uni and needing some food, I would have walked straight back out. I grabbed 4 nori rolls, a chicken teriyaki, a prawn, a smoked salmon and a cooked tuna, I don't know which one (or more) got me.

Perhaps it was because it was late in the day (6pm) and they had been out for a while but a business dealing with uncooked seafood should know how long it can remain on display.

Never again.

Based on other WOMOW recommendations I went here in search of the elusive holy grail, a great burger in the CBD. While it is a pretty good burger, I went for the "Okker" on turkish as the closest thing to a traditional burger with the lot, it is still not a "great burger".

The meat patty had the wrong texture, it was too finely ground and tasted too processed or sausage like. There was a little bit of lettuce, not normal lettuce but the gourmet stuff but not enough of it to actually matter which made me wonder why they bothered. The onion was raw as was the thinly sliced tasteless tomato. The Pineapple also appeared to be cold. The speed the burger came out indicated that while it was assembled to order, it was not cooked to order and the patty quality had suffered accordingly. There was also too much mayonnaise compared to the amount of tomato sauce and the sauce was overpowered.

Still, it is currently the best burger I have found in the CBD to date.
