it`s a newly opened branch of the Coffee Club and i was pleased to hear that it is open not only for the departing passengers, but also for regular customers desperately looking for a cuppa coffee :) it feels really nice just siting there sipping latte with the eggs benedict while stearing out the window at the planes or rushy travellers. it`s a somewhat nice atmosphere there if you come over at a calm moment (coz before the flight it gets terribly busy, crowded and noisy)... the staff is very friendly and attentive (except those busy spells before the flight). however, there`ve been a number of times i got disapointed by the poor quality of their snacks/food/cold drinks. e.g. once bought the almond&orange bread slice which had molds on it, their date bread and most of the muffins were stale, while the banana smoothie did not have any real bananas at all and thus was given a banana milkshake instead (although charged as if buying a smoothie which is more expensive than a milkshake). and their chips are seasoned wayyyy too much . however, they do serve a lovely pumpkin soup & eggs benedict! the coffee itself is rather ok and it goes well along with the nice atmosphere at the lounge.

it seems to be the best place to go for a haircut in the area. my hair is usually beeing done by different stylists everytime i go there, but it`s alright, coz at the end the result is pretty much the same - very good :) the hair is cut in the way i want it, and the hair wash is a pure bliss (due to those fancy chairs i guess). the only thing i`m not too happy about tho is the fact that the moles i`ve got on my neck always get scratched with the combs in a rather painful way, despite warning the hairdressers about them in advance :(

I had a chance to see a couple of doctors there which left me with a rather good impression: Dr. S.Rigby was indeed very professional and confident, while Dr. S.Goldsmid seem to be not too attentive and somewhat in a rush. The pathology staff is always very nice and gentle, thus whenever i have to do any blood tests - i`m heading there straight away. Most receptionists are willing to help and very friendly. HOWEVER, i`ve got rather disapointed with this medical center recently due to the slightly misleading information on their webpage: they seem to boast about numerous services & procedures that the medical center is offering, but in reality the picture is slightly different. e.g. the so-called "traveling clinic" didn`t even have a typhoid vaccination in stock thus we had to go around the whole gladstone region like crazy looking for one ourselves (in this way waisting lots of precious time). the "skin cancer clinic" is not too effective as well...for i had to wait for almost a month in order to be able to have a few of my moles being checked...knowing the rapid rate of the skin cancer development, i think the skin check-ups should be available at a much shorter-notice . overall, it is a good medical center, but the improvements are neccessary.

I`m not a very regular visitor there... but it`s mainly because they are sooooo unbelievably busy all the time & increadibly noisy due to screaming kids! which is a shame, because their coffee seems to be really nice, and i`ve been pleasantly surprised that they are also serving ORGANIC drinks too. so yes, their location is quiete convienent and i`d love to have a cuppa with a muffin there more often after having my shoppings at the Stockland... but the atmosphere is not relaxing at all and the service is way too slow. i just end up with getting a headache after going there.

it is lovely to see some cute & adorable hand-made thingies at this shop! smth which is not very common around this part of queensland, unfortunately... but i do like to drop in here at least once a week to look around or to buy some soy candles or lovely cards/pictures. in general, the shop is fully packed with tiny small but very gripping items (for a very reasonable price!) and it always makes my day just a wee brighter after every visit :>

it`s probably the coziest restaurant in gladstone! although their food is really tasty and finely presented, it`s a bit overprized (the starters should most definetely cost less!). their coffee is the best in town! they could bring some slight changes to their menu though more often (esp. the dining menu), for as a frequent customer now i start finding it a bit borring :/ but the latte and gnnochi taste always fabulously!

it takes ages for the orders to arrive on table (very often you get coffee which is already cooled down). most importantly, their coffee doesn`t even taste very good (thus, a bit annoyed by their high prices) & not following the coffee club standards as in other branches. food lacks attention to detail n its not even prepared properly most of the time (presumably due to huge flow of customers during the noon/lunch & rotten attitude of the kitchen staff)

that was the worst experience e v e r! not only my haircut was terrible, but it was also a complete rip off ( bearing in mind it was more of a trim rather than a proper cut). besides, i was charged $10 more than the actual cost should be as stated in their price leaflet. the staff wasn`t too nice or welcoming as well - for clearly it was more important for both stylists to flirt with a few blokes waiting for their turn rather than listening to what i`d like my hair to look like after having that cut :P
