They have hand pumps! This means that beer is served as beer should be served - without CO2 pumped into it. Their beer is amazing, very smooth because of the pumps as well. The brewery itself has a very Bavarian feel to it, the patrons are all happy yet orderly... Wig & Pen can't be missed if you're in Canberra, would love to call it my local.
Approximate cost: $10
Not a wine drinker, however going to this winery made me very tempted to try! A very beautiful spot complete with lakes and sculptures. The vineyard goes straight up to the cellar door which is bordered by heaps of wine barrels (which you can actually buy!).
The wine itself is a little expensive but Vasse Felix is very well known for it's quality.
All the way out in the middle of nowhere, it's great that you can still find top quality craft beer. Beaten Track brews a good range of beers, not just sticking to the normal ale and lager combinations, they've named their beers after WA icons too! The brewhaus itself is cozy, laid bakc and easy going - as all country businesses should be.
I'm a big fan of Irish pubs and this joint in Leederville is as good as they come here in terms of atmosphere. There's a great, friendly and boisterous vibe most days and nights. good range of average priced beers and the pub food is decent.
Huge range of really tasty products. A lot of rare cheese, meats, condiments etc in the deli section. Really good icecream, a great bread section... you can literally do all your food shopping here it's a fantastic set up! Staff are all great and prices aren't as high as you'd expect.
Big range of very affordable costumes, you'll very rarely find anything out of stock. Great range of accessories too and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
Massive range of fancy clothing - everything from King to Pirate, modern and old, big and small. Very affordable prices and the staff take the time to know their regulars. We use this place every time we have a themed party.
Really great range of cold meats, cheeses, salads and condiments in a very European style setting. Great coffee, great rolls, amazing ice cream... and you can dine in too! The staff are very nice and knowledgeable too.
Perths best tiki bar. It reminds me of being in backstreet bars in Indonesia, surrounded by giant voodoo masks and palm trees. Very cool and mysterious place indeed. The cocktails are apparently great but the beer list is a little disappointing. It is rather expensive but you get to drink from voodoo heads!
Very crowded but that is for good reason. The Norfolk has an absolutely fantastic atmosphere. The people are friendly and talkative, no anger to be seen. Service can be a little slow because of the crowds. Constantly attracting fantastic live bands, one of the best spots in Freo.
