The service was great, Very very good Japanese food. The tempura prawns and vegetables are the best I have tried. Also the sashimi is so so fresh it just melts in your mouth. Really nice Japanese couple run the show with daughter very nice people. "Highly Recommend""

The food is excellent, and good value for Lower North Shore. Service is always top notch, very friendly and helpful. The decor is the only thing not 100%. It could do better with a more sophisticated look, but it more than makes up for it in food and service.

Tasty chicken karage, gyoza yummm...Good value especially for Neutral Bay. Reasonable quality food. The servings keep getting smaller each time I go there? Terrible service too often they have given my order to someone else. Not the nicest setting, but just for a feed it's fine but definitely not for a romantic date.

Very good Japanese Restaurant. Fresh well prepared food. Service was
very much on the ball and efficient. Ambience and the mood of the restaurant is upbeat. Well heeled crowd in their 30's to 50's. Would go back there one day.

Food was very, very tasty. Not sure about the mains but the entrees and specials were top drawer. The jazz made the evening.Service was impeccable. They always welcome you and try to give you the great night. Try the hidden area, the bamboo terrace! was so romantic! This place is my favourite restaurant!

Food was unique, creative, and delicious. The twice cooked beef tongue stood out. All desserts were beautiful and finished the meal on a high. Service was prompt and friendly. The wine was nice but it's a shame they don't do BYO on weekends. Ambience was pleasant.

Started going to Hukuya not long ago and I've quickly become a regular! I really enjoy their wide selection and always fresh food. A bit pricier than I'd normally eat, but Hukuya is yet to disappoint for value for money, but the service is great not much to complaint

I used to live down the road from this sushi shop, so I ate there basically weekly and I always enjoyed my food. Sure it looks small and cramped but once your seated its really nice and informal. The girls are always so friendly and attentive. The tempura and inari rolls are so yummy!

went before seeing a show and everything was brilliant. The food was wonderful, the service impeccable and value was exceptional for an inner city restaurant. We won't hesitate in going back.

Fantastic Japanese restaurant, very very fresh sashimi, very good portions, excellent service. We can only compare it to our dining out experiences in Japan, and is right up there with the standard of food, taste and service.
