We stopped here for lunch on our way to the Lady Bay Resort. It was quiet so we couldn't understand why our meals took so long. When they did finally arrive, they were worth the wait. My steak was perfect and it was huge, delicious homemade gravy and tasty vegies. My wife tried the schnitzel again and loved it.

My husband and I were on our way to our accommodation nearby and decided to stop for lunch. The staff were friendly and the menu was huge. We chose garlic/herb bread and wedges for entrees and mains was slow cooked lamb shoulder for my husband and I ordered the 1/2 serve chicken schnitzel with delicious homemade pepper gravy. Our meals were fabulous, my only complaint would be that we had just received our entrees and within 5 minutes our main meals arrived. Usually they ask when you would like to receive them, but surely not within a couple of minutes. At first we thought they belonged to someone else because they came out so quickly. Also, I ordered a coke zero which was on tap, it was terrible, tasted metalic. My water was much better.

No complaints here, definitely 5 stars +. A great comfortable atmosphere, attentive friendly staff, a fabulous menu, only problem is deciding what to order. So starting with an entree to give us more time is always the way. Plenty of seating, love the beer garden.

Typical country pub atmosphere, small outdoor playground for kids and reasonable menu. I ordered the Southern Burger which I thoroughly enjoyed, others at the table enjoyed their meals but perhaps not quite as much as me. Good sized kids meals, standard sized adult meals. Meals all came out together pretty much which was good as we had 10+ in our group. Happily go there again!

My wife and I have enjoyed a few meals here, such a great atmosphere, nice comfortable dining area, friendly staff and a very extensive delicious menu. I would normally go for steak or anything seafood, so the Fishermen's Plate was perfect for me, my wife just felt like a good old reliable schnitzel. Our meals were perfect, my wife even felt like a dessert and coffee afterwards. We took our time and had a very enjoyable lunch.

My wife and I really enjoyed our meals here recently, a very relaxing atmosphere, very friendly service and fabulous reasonably priced meals.

The menu certainly contains variety, a bit of everything. I would suggest you try the Yankalilla Sizzler which consisted of prawns, calamari and scallops served with a delicious creamy garlic sauce. Absolutely loved it! My wife insisted on having the tandoori chicken skewers, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Following our meals, my wife and I shared the sticky date pudding, very nice.

They also have a gaming room and an adjoining bottle shop. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and we are looking forward to returning with friends next time round.

Approximate cost: $23
