After just moving back home to Melbourne I was really keen find a good hairdresser. After a few failed attempts I finally found Tim from Yan Rafael. I've only been there the one time but I can't wait to go back. He's great at styling and does an amazing blow wave too. Thankyou Tim for helping me to finally find a good hairdresser back home!

I've been going to see Tim here for months now, and my hair has NEVER looked better. He is personable and enthusiastic about making your hair look its best. The attention to detail has made a wonderful difference to the quality of my hair and I always leave my appointments feeling fantastic - and always receive compliments!

I have platinum blonde hair, and for anyone with blonde hair - you'll know that it can be tough to maintain and achieve the right shade. Tim's talent with hair colouring has meant that I've achieved the exact kind of blonde I want without the damage that I have received from other hairdressers.

HIGHLY suggest you go here - cannot recommend enough.

I read the reviews in this site and was impressed. I had foils and a cut. I asked for a natural look and warm tones. I have cold very dark layers and bleached white layers. My fringe is darker than the rest of my hair. The cut is poor - chucky uneven layers. And the styling was very old fashioned. When I paid I was told I would get a 10% discount on my next cut if I put a review on this site. Sadly, I would not recommend this salon.

Moved to Melbourne a few years ago and would wait until travelling overseas to get my hair done. Decided I had to try a find a salon in Melbourne and went to Yan Refael after reading all the positive reviews. Absolutely no regretst. I am a very happy repeat customer.

Tim is a great hairdresser. He's careful to listen to your wishes and offers his ideas about what would best suit your hair type. I've just had another great cut and a fabulous new colour - I wouldn't go anywhere else now. The rest of the staff are friendly and I'd happily trust any of them with my hair. The prices are reasonable and I never feel that I'm being rushed or that the hairdressers don't have time to consult with me and listen to my needs. Thanks, Tim. See you soon!

Got a wash and blowdry done here on Saturday. When I rang to see if I could get a last minute appointment they squeezed me in so I was delighted. My hairdresser was Tim he was excellent at his job, my hair is a nightmare to handle and it turned out perfect thanks to Tim and the banter was fantastic ;)

I got my hair straightened with the Keratin here. It really took away the frizz and I was happy with the result.

Great colour with zero yellow, just gorgeous ashy highlights.... exactly what I asked for... great service!
