We used Woofers Pet Transport to transport 3 dogs of advanced age from Cranbourne to Brisbane.

Woofers Pet Transport was fantastic to deal with they provided the driver phone number to us so we could get regular updates on the dogs as they travelled.

They provided us with GPS tracking information we were able to monitor where our dogs were at all times this was so reassuring to us as we were better able to plan and meet the driver in Brisbane after we had flown up.

The dogs arrived healthy, happy and clean and you can’t ask for much more than that.

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY!

I paid $1000 to transport my puppy from Brisbane to the SA Border. This was $250 more than other transport companies but we thought we were getting a better service as how they advertise themselves on their website.

Their website states the dogs are transported in vans with built in crates.
This was not the case.
My dog was transported in an airline crate in the back of a van with a bunch of other crates. Nothing special about that and not as advertised.

They gave my breeder the wrong pick up location.
They gave me the wrong pick up location.
My booking confirmation also had the wrong contact number for their office and the two emergency numbers provided was two other droves entirely unrelated to the driver of my booking and unable to help with any concerns.

They lied in their booking regarding the service they would provide. They offered to keep my updated yet I had to fight for information on the where abouts and wellbeing of my pup.

They did not let him out of the crate for 2 and a half days! They ensured me at the time of booking AND on day one of his travel when I had spoken to the owner of the company that he would get time out of the crate. This is a small airline travel crate. He did not have much room. After drop off, the company admitted he was not removed from the crate outside "cleaning" which was clearly not done often enough or to an acceptable standard.

The driver did not even contact me prior to pick up - where I needed 2hr notice to travel to the drop off point. This was organised at the time of booking and I was told it was standard practise and no issue to be informed at a certain point in the trip of an ETA.

On pick up my $5000 specialty breed smelled of urine and had dandruff and irritated skin from being unclean for days. He was also very snotty and unwell, when he was in perfect health when he left Brisbane and the care of his breeder.

The owner, driver and staff lied to me on multiple occassions.
I could go on but I've made my point enough.

I would never recommend this company and they should absolutely not be responsible for animals. They are an absolute rip off and their attitude and service is disgraceful.

Do not recommend Woofers Pet Transport.

We had a puppy transported from Brisbane to Sydney.

1. Puppy was picked up 45min late in Brisbane. As a result we incurred an additional charge from the person dropping the dog off to Woofers.

2. Woofers advertise that the dogs ‘always have water available’. There was no water container in the Woofers crate. So I assume the puppy had no water or food the entire trip.

3. The puppy was supposed to be delivered to Sydney in the evening. I had not heard from Woofers all day (despite testimonials on their website claiming regular updates) until I made a call to their emergency number at 7pm asking where the puppy was. I was told the car had an issue and required repair. I understand that is uncontrollable but the lack of communication was unsatisfactory.

4. I was then told we had to pick up the dog at 2am from Pennant Hills (a one hour round trip for us). I think that was an incredibly poor decision by Woofers and can’t imagine any customer would find that satisfactory.

5. The puppy was in the Woofers crate for 18 hours and was covered and smelt of urine and excrement when he was delivered.

6. We wrote to Woofers highlighting these issues and received no response. Unsatisfactory service for a company that charges prices above its competitors.

Approximate cost: $300
