Not too many animals but it is good for what it is.
Taronga zoo is a better place but different

Great place to bring young kids on a wet day. All indoors or undercover and pram friendly. Good range of insects and Australian wildlife. Displays are well set up so children don't need to be lifted to see each exhibit. For best value combine with Sydney Aquarium and or Madam Taussaud's

Approximate cost: $30

Great value as the proceeds go to the upkeep of the zoo and its inhabitants. Impressive array of Australian animals and insects to view. Staff are friendly and informative. The Darling Harbour location makes it convenient to add to activities on a day out

Approximate cost: $26

the value to get a single admission into the wildlife park is hefty, however excellent deals are available to buy packs of passes into the wildlife park and aquarium etc. the venue is big and there are opportunities for hands on experiences, it is fun engaging and interesting. remember it is a wildlife park not a zoo. so it will not be as good as a zoo, but it is good for a wildlife park.

If you have kids, the family pass is great value.

We were out of Wildlife Zoo less than 1 hour and felt very disappointed. Compare to the Reptile Park on Central Coast, Wildlife Zoo in Darling Harbour is tiny and depressing. At Wildlife Zoo, you can not touch the kangaroo, but in the Reptile Park, they are free range and you can touch or feed them at all time. The closest you can get the animals at Wildlife Zoo is at the Kangaroo Walk About, but there is a ranger inside and will tell you off if you try to be too close to the animal. everything is locked up behind the glass window. All animals have every little space which is depressing to see it - that's not surprising as in Darling Harbour, real estate is so expensive. The highlights for us were the butterflies and underwater view of the crocodile. Not worth the family ticket of $75. But if you get an annual Pass of $236 online, I guess it is not too bad, because you get unlimited access to the Wildlife Zoo, the Aquarium at Darling Harbour and Manly, the Sydney Tower and the wax museum.

Approximate cost: $75 family pass, $236 annual pass, $236 annual pass online

If you haven't been to the Reptile Park on the Central Coast, Wildlife zoo darling harbour is probably okay. However I am comparing two of them. The Reptile Park is far more open, spacious and more fun.

A nice zoo to drop by in if you are in the city- however not as good as Taronga. It is a lot smaller and the variety of animals is a lot less. Also there is only one restaurant and the souvenirs are limited and more expensive.

Thanks for the comparison with Taronga Zoo.

Purchased a voucher deal online (combo deal with Sydney Aquarium). The park is quite small and features a rather limited number of animals, and presentation is clearly geared towards children. Adults should visit the zoo instead for stunning views and more variety. However, it would be a fun experience for kids. Staff are friendly and helpful, and there are mini-talks/up close sessions for you to to interact with and learn more about the animals. Highlight is the croc on display in the glass tank (not as large expected, but pretty cool to see it up so close, floating in the large tank). Tip: as hallways are narrow, best to avoid the school holiday season as the crowd can become overwhelming!

I was thinking I would need a lot of time here, but good to know it doesn't take too long to get through it.

This place was a bit of a let down after seeing many other wildlife parks. There was some great information about the animals though. Lots of bugs! It is worth a look but I wouldn't go back again.

I recommend Featherdale as the best one in Sydney

A great place to visit, lots of variety and interesting animals. Can be a bit crowded and noisy though. But overall, its worth a visit.

Approximate cost: $25

I think school holidays are the worst times to go to these places.

After visiting the aquarium, we were disapointed with the lack of wildlife at this facility. The animals did look great, and the information was interesting, but for my children from the country, it was all known to us. I was expecting more reptiles and by the ads on T.V. hands on. There was no hands on and the walk through area was closed. We had bought combined tickets for 2 adults and 3 children, so did not feel let down. We did find that there was no souvenier shop.

Approximate cost: $98

I'll probably go to this as well as another park where it's more hands on.

I went to Featherdale. Eeveryone says its the best one. Better than here, unless you're only in the city.
