Customer service awesome!
Roast of the day was delicious.
This is by far my favourite pub bistro to meet friends for a meal, and I'm not going to beat about the bush here. It's because of the SALAD AND VEG BAR.
Do not be fooled by this unassuming, modestly sized bain marie. It contains tasty treasures aplenty! Always kept clean and well filled, this is not the soggy-looking, re-boiled after-thought I have been so disappointed to discover at too many other hotel restaurants.
More than once I have selected the Warradale's salad and veg bar as my main meal, because nothing on the menu tempts me quite so much as the delicious assortment of roasted vegetables, potato bake, salads, and if you're lucky - CURRIED EGGS.
The atmosphere of the place itself is pleasant, with low lighting and a nice, relaxed vibe. It feels a bit more upmarket than many hotel bistros, and the staff are generally quite attentive.
The televisions that play a strange mix of advertising, street art photos and Monty Python snippets is less to my liking and a bit distracting, especially if you have kids along, and the backs of the chairs have an unfortunate shape which invariably leads to bruised elbows by the end of the night, but you'll put up with it for the food.
Prices are probably on the higher end of the scale, so this is not the place to book for cheap eats, but it does provide a pleasant dining experience overall, and I always enjoy myself here. It's fancy enough for a special occasion, but low key enough for a casual meal too.
PS. Whenever my mother is in town she demands I book in for dinner so that she can order the chocolate fountain dessert. Fresh fruit and melted chocolate for dipping - can't argue with that.
Enjoyed a senior's meal here this week. Brings back lots of memories from my growing up years. It has been updated a couple of times since then. Now very modern and it has a good menu and friendly staff.
Back to have lunch at the Warradale. This is my very old stamping ground but the Warradale Hotel is so different now. Modern and updated with a good dining room. The senior's menu is not the cheapest offering but the quality of the food and service account for that. The salad/veg bar has a range of different offerings too. Enjoyed our fish and the chicken schnitzel.
It has been a while since i have enjoyed a meal here, thanks for reminding me.
I met some friends at the Warradale Hotel for lunch last week. We were surprised that the Senior's Menu was relatively expensive compared to other visits here some time ago. The meals were nicely served with waiter/waitress service and a very nice salad bar. It is a very nice hotel but more for a special occasion.
Pleasant atmosphere, great food and staff friendly, plenty of menu options & beer garden is perfect for a catch up
We had a birthday dinner for my wife at the Warradale Hotel a few weeks ago. It was a very pleasant evening with good food in a nice setting. Son and his wife had the three tasting dishes which they thoroughly enjoyed. First time they had made that choose. Prawns and calamari were my wife and my choice. Salad and vegetable bar available but we did not need it. Enough food was served on our plates.
After a busy shopping expedition we came to the Warradale for dessert and coffee. The chocolate fountain with fruits etc was as a nice reviver and so was the coffee. Good to move away from shopping area eating places sometimes. A bit more relaxing. We had the chocolate fountain from the seniors menu which was $4 not $10 as on the main menu
My wife and I had been shopping in Marion and decided to have lunch here. After speaking to a very nice staff member we decided to try the sports bar for a pub meal, but upon opening the door, we instantly knew we would not be eating there, my wife commented on the terrible smell and the fact that it was packed, not at all what we were looking for. We then tried the main dining room, not busy at all, nice and quiet with very friendly helpful staff. We enjoyed the salad bar, some oysters, fish and schnitzel. I will say it was a bit more expensive than we were expecting, but it was relaxing.
Approximate cost: $23
shall try this place soon when i visit my friend who lives near the shopping centre
Have been after visiting Marion shopping centre too. Also ate in the dining room.
My husband and I had lunch here and ordered off the main menu. He had beer battered fish and prawns and I had the calamari and prawns. The food was well presented but it was the salad bar and vegetable bar that impressed me. Lots of different salads and appealing vegetables. Nice to see different items being used and combined. Friendly staff but a sterile feel to the modern dining room. Also not the cheapest menu around for lunch
My husband and I had a meal here and found it to be quite expensive and the food average. Haven't been back since..
