6 reviews about Wallarah Bay Recreation Club

About 20 weeks ago, we asked somebody if they could recommend a club or pub with a water view for dinner, and without hesitation, he said that there was only one place that came to mind that he could highly recommend.
It happened to be a Wednesday night and we ordered the Surf and Turf Stone Grill Special.
I don't believe we have missed a Wednesday night at the Wallarah Bay Recreational Club since and we find the staff polite, and friendly and cannot help noticing their camaraderie and how hard they work, and how they cover for each other.
Their steaks are apparently sourced from a farm in Tamworth and you will not find a more tender steak or fresher seafood and vegetables anywhere.
The moment you walk in, you feel that it is a happy place and the friendly atmosphere is infectious because there are smiles and laughter with both staff and patrons.

On 27/07/23 6 of us who had made a booking at Wallarah Recreation Club arrived for lunch. No booking made we were told. Due to the cost of living there were few people in for lunch so we chose a table. The host went off to buy some drinks coming back with 2 bottles of house white Hardys The Riddel Chardonnay @ $60.00 plus 2 beers for the two.
There were 5 dishes ordered as two of us shared cost $261.10. The meals were all excellent but then they would want to be for that cost.
Half way through our stay we were moved to another table due to a conference of around 30 people arriving.
This is a club I am anxious to point out each person costing $43.50 per head.

Approximate cost: $261.00

This has been my "local" for quite some time. I have frequented this club (which is part of the Wyong Leagues Club franchise) nearly every day for the past 3 years. Wallarah Bay Recreation Club boasts stunning views of Tuggerah Lake, as well as reasonably priced beverages and meals. Staff are plentiful and friendly, although occasionally careless and bureaucratic (that is true of other clubs, of course). Regulars seem to genuinely love their club, and wear their allegiance proudly. There are many special events held such as raffles, competitions, bingo nights and so on.

Approximate cost: $15

The staff are so friendly and always talk. You get free tea, coffee, juice or soft drink when you play the poker machines (which many clubs still do not do this). The restaurant/cafe is well priced and there is a good variety of meals to choose from. The chef is excellent too, it is restaurant quality food. It has just been renovated also and looks very classy. Best club on the Coast.

Approximate cost: $21

This club has a very scenic view of Tuggerah Lake. The atmosphere is pleasant and the patrons well behaved. The usual TAB and poker machines are there, but one can also enjoy a drink outside in the fresh air away from such distractions.
