A great vegatarian place, also very vegan friendly (I am vegan). The prices are great and the burgers are HUGE, seriously, there's a reason you can buy half a burger. I love the artsy decor and the mismatched chairs. It's very small and gets quite busy so if you're claustrophobic maybe choose somewhere else! Not somewhere you can go with a large group of people but it's a great place to eat if there's just 2 of you. They also do take-away. The service is a little slow but I put that down to the staff just being very relaxed and laid-back, which makes for a nice atmosphere. The food makes you feel really energetic afterwards too. I love it!

Okay so when a friend suggested we go here to eat I must say I was quite skeptical. I am not a big meat eater, but I have never been into tofu! Well my friend and this place certainly changed my opinion. There was such a wide selection and we ordered several things so I could try. I not only ate my whole meal but my words as well. A nice, cosy place to eat, not really for a get together for lots of people, but a more relaxed and close sort of meal if that makes sense. The staff where pleasant and the prices were extremely reasonable. I plan to take my husband here the next time we are in town and get his opinion. Would recommend to anyone, not just vegetarians.

Vego's Mulligatawny soup (sorry, I can eat it but I can't spell it!) is so heartwarming and delicious, it's a winter staple. If you've got a cold or you're too busy for home cooking, I recommend it during winter.

During summer, any of the Vegos burgers are amazingly delicious. The tofu burger is to die for. And using Olive paste to spice things up is genius - I am a total sucker for it.

The owner has had vegos since I was a little girl and my mother used to take me. The food has gotten better and more goumet as time has gone by!

They also do delicious juices.

Vegos is, as the name suggests, vego and vegan. But unlike some vegan menus which are bland and boring, Vego's is quite spectacular.

As another reviewer has said, this place can get busy for lunch. If you want to share lunch with a friend who has a story to tell, you might want to try somewhere else or just try your luck - there are quiet spots some days.

Definitely a must-visit, and this from a self confessed meat lover.

Approximate cost: $7-15

Amazing my favourite Vegatarian burgers in the world are made here! Great value too. the only downside is that it's not open on the weekend or evenings

I actually went here for lunch today, it was just as great as it always is. Service includes one wait staff and one kitchen staff..so on a busy day, it can be a little slow. Seating is at a premium and only one big table of 5 or 6 so I wouldn't take a big group here. Some days it can get quite busy and you may have to wait for a table.
the food is fantastic and very well priced for what you get. its healthy and you dont have to be vegetarian to enjoy it. the tea is nice, although its just tea bags but at least its not overly expensive to purchase a pot for two at just $3.50 (great value) and you get about 4 cups out of it. they have a great selection for vegans and other alternatives to burgers. one of my fav lunch spots on rundle, highly recommend. they only accept cash and the sign can be a little hard to spot but its very close to dangerfield!

Approximate cost: $11

Vego is a cosy little restaurant located down Rundle Street, which sells the most amazing vegetarian food (as the name would suggest). I agree with Sarah in that their burgers are definitely their specialty - in particular their Bali burger, which is massive, with a lentil patty and satay sauce. Even if you're not a vegetarian, definitely visit Vego for a healthy and delicious alternative to your usual dining spots!

The decor is very random, with all different chairs, tables and plates used. There is some great, interesting art and tiled mosaics on the walls. It is a cosy, secluded spot one level above the city street. The largest table seats around 5 people, so be careful of taking a big group.
All food is vegetarian, with some vegan options. The burgers are delicious and huge, I usually order a half-burger for around $8. For the decor and very tasty home-cooked food, I would recommend this place to anyone - vego's and non vego's.
