A great atmosphere for my 50th birthday. the layout of the restaurant was great. There is flexibility with group dining regarding drinks. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The food was absolutely magnificent. I have never had a "hot rock: experience before but I WILL do it again. THE best dining out experience I have ever had!!! Congratulations Vault 146... You ROCK!!

Decor is modern and relaxing in a beautiful old building. Entrees and mains were reasonable, but the service was poor so we did not stay for dessert. Could not get a smile or a pleasant comment when we arrived. We had to line our empty glasses on the edge of the table to give them the hint that we wanted to order more drinks. Empty plates left on table for too long despite it being a quiet night. Staff stood at the bar chatting amongst themselves when we left, no goodbyes, thank you, nothing.

Vault 146 is a recently refurbished restaurant located in the majestic Old Westpac Bank building that is over 150 years.
The staff and service is welcoming and attentive, with a flair of casualsness.

The food is contemporary with items on the menu such as Salt and Pepper Prawns, Crumbed Brie, Smoked Trout Salad, and a delicious Antipasto Platter. The mains consist of Flame Grilled Tenderloin served on a horseradish potato cake and chunky onion rings, or Lamb Backstrap on Cannelini Beans, Chicken Breast on a Dijon Parsnip Puree. The food is made on the premises, from the stocks to the sauces to the dressings.
