great location a stone's throw away from south yarra station, amazing service from staff and great quality food
good atmosphere, light and a touch of hipster melbourne without being too pretentious
had the $20 breakfast pan which was yummy and all but i think was a tad too overpriced given the medium sized servings and basic ingredients
Amazing.
Why? Because they offer a very different cafe dining experience. In terms of the dishes, drinks, and vibe.
In terms of the surrounds, think modern swedish furniture store. Minimalist without being sparse, some colour not too much, well coordinated randomness.. it felt spacious, modern an sophisticated, yet fun & relaxed at the same time.
On the food, this was very different. The standard was very good, much more to the standard of a bistro/tapas bar, than a cafe. Imagine dishes such as Ham Hock Fritters served with Potato Hash, Creamed Corn, Braised Red Cabbage, Crumbed Black Pudding & Poached Eggs, OR UP Breakfast featuring Poached Eggs, Pork & Fennel Sausages, Buttered Thyme Mushrooms, Sauteed Kipflers on Sourdough & Tomato Chutney. Lovely hearty food. Cultured, yet not one dimensional.
Drinks - Australian Sencha was what we had. I had never even heard of it before and I am a tea fanatic.
I highly recommend making a visit, especially if you like british, scandanavian and european influenced food.
i do love their decor it's nice and refreshing
